Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma
Don't look now, but he's quietly putting up a campaign as the best corner in the Big XII. I think he could sneak into the first round if he keeps up his play.

He's the #3 ranked junior corner on Mel Kiper's list. And so I ask the board, is he a first-round talent?

The 3rd ranked junior corner Kiper has him as?
Xavier Rhodes Florida State RS DeMarcus Milliner Alabama Nickell Robey USC Darqueze Dennard Michigan State David Amerson NC State Tyrann Mathieu LSU Kyle Fuller Virginia Tech Could argue all of these guys are better than him in that junior class, especially the top three. But sure one might project Rhodes or Amerson as a safety and Mathieu clearly is not coming out this year. As for Colvin, not quite sure he is a 1st round type of talent, improving yes but give me Tony Jefferson any day over Colvin as a defensive back regardless of position. |
Jefferson has been great for us as has Demontre Hurst who could be a 3rd or 4th round pick, but Colvin has been our best DB this season. He draws a lot of comparisons to Antoine Cason who was coached by Mike Stoops at Arizona.
