The Scale of the Universe

Pretty crazy way to waste a little time.

I can only imagine what something like that would look like after a few more decades of scientific advancement.

Saw it on reddit a while ago...

Wow, that is pretty cool.

Waste your time, or your sanity.

So, what you're telling me is that I am an insignificant spec on a tiny rock in a universe so large that I cannot truly grasp its size and that my brief existence is entirely inconsequential in relation to existence?

Yeah, I know but... you know... FOOTBALL!

CashmoneyDrew 11-03-2012 10:00 PM

Thinking about this stuff makes me want to boot.

The closest solar system to ours is approximately 25 trillion miles away. That **** cray.

Earth rules everything else in the Universe. Does Delta Pavonis have a 24 Hour Christmas Story marathon on Christmas Eve? Has Bloodsport even been released on Blu Ray on NGC 5055 yet? Can you order a Dorito Taco on Epsilon Eridani? No. Only Earth has those things.

**** YEAH EARTH

EARTH EARTH EARTH

but they also don't have a midwest so 1 point for them

Forenci 11-03-2012 10:28 PM

Haha, I love astronomy. It really puts into perspective at times. I mean heck, we're all just dust and gases from a star that exploded billions of years ago.

Another thing that I always find interesting. Our sun/star is a baby.

Well, compared to a bottom quark or neutrino, you are GOD.

Well when you put it like that, football seems no less important than everything else in life.

This justifies my irrationality towards all things.
