Happy Veteran's Day

In memory of those who have served, and in honor of those who serve us now.

Thanks to the SWDC posters who are Veterans.

Agreed. A big, hearty thanks to all of those that have served and those that still are serving our country.

Always think of those that didn't make it back on this day.

Thanks to CJ and all the other grunts that served.

CashmoneyDrew 11-11-2012 12:10 PM

A big thank you to all Veterans. I greatly appreciate their service.

Since I am not an American, I have no idea what difference between the Memorial's Day and Veterans' Day. Memorial for dead soldiers and Veterans for living soldiers, is that correct?

Borat 11-11-2012 01:49 PM

Big thanks to SuperKev and CJ and anyone else I don't know about.

Memorial Day celebrates those who gave their lives defending. Veterans Day honors all who served, be it in peace time or in combat, living and dead.

Pretty much. For me it's just another occasion to remember friends of mine that didn't make it back from Viet Nam. Not sure that's a good thing.

YotoJets007 11-11-2012 01:56 PM

Thanks, CJ and Bab.

Big thanks to all, but especially seniormysterio who was seriously injured serving our country. Anyone see him on here lately? I wonder how he is progressing.

I work in engineering though. Never seen actual combat.
I make steam that propels the ship and launches the jets.
