Marvel: War of Heroes
Ok so I'm addicted to this game. It's a free app for iphone/android, and its pretty awesome. Great way to waste downtime. Basically, you collect cards of Marvel characters, then build teams of them to battle other people while also doing single player missions to collect money/cards and level up.
If anyone is interested in playing, download the game and go through the Tutorial, then enter the referral code avb475656 and you'll get a free Jean Grey rare card.

Comahan's Tutorial: Getting Started
BASICS
If you want to go through things on your own, go for it. but I've walked several people through the beginning stages of the game already, so I figured I might as well add it to this post. Here are some of the basics:
- There are three different kinds of cards: Speed, Bruiser, and Tactic. Each are represented by a color that outlines the card. Speed is green, Bruiser is red, Tactic is blue. It's sort of like Rock/Paper/Scissors in that each of them is strong against one while weak against the other.
Speed (green) is weak against Tactic (blue)
Tactic (blue) is weak against Bruisier (red)
Bruiser (red) is weak against Speed (green)
- Each card also has a star rating. 1-Star is a Common, 2-Stars is an Uncommon, 3-Stars is a Rare, 4-Stars is a Super Rare, 5-Stars is Super Super Rare, 6-Stars is Ultra Rare, and 7-Stars is Legendary. Obviously the higher the star count the better the card is likely to be.

EARLY GAME AND DETAILS:
1. After you finish the tutorial, you'll come to a screen that asks for you to enter your referral code. As mentioned above, enter "avb475656". This will give you a big boost early in the game by adding a nice card to your collection.
2. Once you enter the code, you'll come to the main screen. Go ahead and finish mission 2-1 and kill the boss. It should be absurdly easy and quick. Do NOT start mission 2-2 yet, no NOT level up yet, and do NOT spend your attribute points yet.
3. Go to Menu at the bottom left part of the screen and click Team Member. Invite up to 5 random people to your team. Alternatively, you can leave your username in this thread and those of us who already play will invite you to our own teams. Each time you successfully add a team member, you gain 5 attribute points. Again, if you have attribute points, don't spend them yet.
4. Click the Card Pack button in the top right hand corner, then scroll down until you get to the Rally Card Pack area. Draw your daily free card. Every day, youll be able to add a free card from here. Rally cards are mostly commons, with a few Uncommons sprinkled in there.
5. Now click My Page at the top and go into your updates. Register your device. It takes literally 1 second and allows you to collect your rewards. Once you do that, return to the updates area. It should say youve completed assignments. Click on that and get your rewards, which will be 2x 2000 Rally Points. Now go to your Present List and collect your Rally Points, your Ultimate Card Pack Ticket, your Silver, and the other items you get.
6. Go back to the Card Pack area where you got your free card from before. You should now be able to purchase Rally Card Packs. Press the (x10) button to make it faster. You'll end up with 30 random commons/uncommons. Next, go to Card Pack again and use your Ultimate Card Pack Ticket. This will be a rare (3-stars) or better. Go to your present list to collect it.
7. Now go to Menu->Roster. Separate your cards by the highest rarity or the highest stat total, then click that card and set it as your primary card. Likely, it will be the Wolverine (or Spider Man) you get as your starter card.
8. Next, pick out which card you want to build your team around early on. It can be your starter Wolverine, the Jean Grey you got for using my referral, or the rare you got from the Ultimate Card Pack. Just make sure that the Power Requirement on the card isn't higher than 12 or so, or else you wont be able to use it in your very early levels. Once you decide on which card that is (it'll likely be the same card you chose as your primary card), click BOOST at the bottom. Boosting a card will increase its level and its stats. Basically, you have one card absorb another. Use the Silver you got to boost your main card with all of the 1-star commons that you got from the Rally Packs. Do them 10 at a time for maximum efficiency and cost.
9. Go to My Page again, and click on your completed assignments to collect even more Silver.
10. Click the Battle button on the bottom, then click Select from a Desired Resource, then Storm's Cape, then click a blank spot. Now click Target this Resource. It'll bring up a list of players who own the resource card that you selected. What you're doing is you're going to choose one of them to battle for that card. Basically you're stealing it from them by force. Once you collect all six resources you get a reward. When looking for a player to attack, find someone who has the lowest defense possible (in this case 10) and has the least impressive card in their profile pic next to them (aka the primary card. Try to target someone with a Spider Man, as people who dont use referral codes get Spidey). Choose someone with low defense and defeat them. You'll collect their resource, some of their silver, and some of your cards will gain mastery points for fighting (maximize their mastery points and they get a stats bonus).
11. It's important to note that each card has a Power Requirement. Wolverine's is 7, for example. Now, each of you will have a certain amount of attack power (attack power is one of the attributes). In order to use Wolverine on your team, you need to have at least 7 attack power. If you want to use Wolverine AND Jean together, you'll need 17 attack power. But attack power acts as more than just a guideline to the cards you can put on your team at any one time. Lets say you have 20 attack power, and have Wolverine and Jean on your team. They use up 17 total. When you attack someone, it'll put you at 3 attack power. This will slowly charge back up until you are able to attack again. This prevents you from being able to attack over and over again without break.
12. Now go to Mission and do Mission 2-2 to level up. Each time you level you'll gain an attribute point, but don't spend them yet. Each time you attack during a Mission, you use a certain amount of Energy. Similar to attack power, energy will slowly recharge when you aren't using it. You should be able to go back and forth between doing Missions to level up and attacking people to take their resources.
13. Attribute points. The three attribute points are Energy, Attack Power, and Defense Power. As mentioned, Energy has to do with the single player missions. You need energy to level up. Attack power is how strong of an offensive deck/team you can put together. Meanwhile, defense power is how strong of a defensive deck you can put together. Defense Power is really important to have, because if you don't have a lot of it, you wont be able to put together a good defensive deck, and you'll constantly get attacked for your resources and money. Thus, I think defense is the most important attribute early on. I think your defense should be higher than the others, at least for now. A guide I read recommended that you have 20+ defense @ level 7, 40+ defense at level 12, and 60+ defense at level 17. So, go to My Page and spread out your attribute points over which stats you want. Just make sure that you have enough attack/defense power to put your best card(s) in your offensive/defensive decks.
14. Decks. These are the teams you assemble. Go to Menu->Deck. You have an offensive deck and a defensive deck. When you attacked someone and stole their resource, you used your offensive deck, and you attacked their defensive deck. The more attack power (attribute) you have, the more you can put into your attack. On the flipside, the more defense you have, the better defensive deck you can make. The game will have a recommended deck for you based on how much attack power and defense power you have at any time, but you can make your own decks. When you attack someone or are attacked, itll use the base deck at the top of the screen. If you make your own deck, scroll down a little until you see the Raise Priority button. That will put the deck up one slot on the page. Do that until the desired deck is at the top.
15. Fusions. These can be complicated. The idea is that you take two identical cards and fuse them together to make a better version of the card. If you end up with 2 really good cards, DO NOT FUSE THEM until both of those cards are max level and have their mastery number maxed out. The reason for this is that when you fuse two max level cards together, the new card will receive a 10% stats bonus. However, if you fuse two cards together and they both arent max level, it will only be a 5% increase. Therefore, if you want to get the most out of a fusion between two copies of a really good card, don't do it until you've leveled them up. The exception is if it's a card you don't plan on using in your deck for a long time.
16. Mastery. I touched on this before. Each card has a Mastery level in addition to their normal level. While their normal card level is advanced by boosting them up, Mastery level is only raised when a card is successful in a battle. Once a card reaches maximum mastery, they'll receive a nice stats bonus.
17. Ability Level. Yes, each card has another thing you can level on it. In addition to its base level and mastery level, some cards have an ability level. Some cards will have an ability that it uses in battle. 3+ star cards always have an ability, while a few uncommons have one as well. To raise a card's ability level and make their ability better, you have to boost them with other cards that have an ability. So, say you want to upgrade your Wolverine's ability, you'll want to boost him with, for instance, an Uncommon Iron Man. Again, boosting 10 at a time has its advantage here, as the more cards w/ abilities that you boost with at once, the better of a chance you'll have at raising the Ability Level. It's extremely hard to raise this level though, so don't focus on it THAT much. Also, don't bother doing it to cards that you plan on fusing down the line, because when you fuse, the ability level will reset.

TIPS:
1. Once you reach around level 20+, youre going to want to slow down on the leveling and focus on boosting your cards. You'll notice that as you go further along in missions, it begins to cost more and more energy to attack. You can scroll all the way down on the missions page however, and click on operations. This will take you to a screen of your completed missions. If you go back to mission 2-2, you will be able to 'farm' common cards (and occasionally uncommons) to boost your cards with. You don't HAVE to do this, but it certainly helps along the way.
2. Don't waste your silver. Unless you HAVE to use it, try not to. You'll need it once you start boosting your better cards. It gets expensive once those cards reach high level. And as mentioned above, fusing 1-star commons in order to boost a high level card will reduce the cost of boosting significantly.
3. Again, the first priority of your status/attribute points should be defense. You'll want to stay on the higher end of your level's average throughout the game so you won't be targeted for an attack. You don't want to constantly be pillaged of your resources and money.
4. Always keep maximum team members. Every time you gain a team member you receive 5 attribute points. You'll continue to gain slots from team members as you level up. You lose 5 attribute points if you remove a team member.
5. Alliances. They're basically guilds. You can get bonuses if your members donate enough silver to the guild Tell me your username in this thread and I'll invite you to the alliance im in.
6. Rallying. If you go to a persons profile, you can 'Rally' them. You can leave a comment on their profile while gaining Rally Points. Once you have 200 rally points you can go to Card Packs and get yourself a common/uncommon.
7. Remember to use the Referral Code I provided (avb475656!). You start out much slower if you dont.
[Ball of Fire] Human Torch [Invisibility] Invisible Woman Bucky Barnes x2 [Ultimate Fist] Iron Fist [Ruthless] Punisher Modok
[Scientist] Beast
And all the ****** cards you have
...all available whenever we can actually start trading ****.
It is a lot of fun and it isn't super time consuming because of the recharge timer. Give it a shot.

Jean is the tits. And once you smash scrubs for their Capes, so is Storm. Is it worth it to fuse common cards continuously? I noticed the stats can get pretty good and the power cost stays low.

Not typically, but if you have an open slot in your deck early on and have enough points, why not. The only time i fuse commons is when it starts to cost a ton of silver to boost high level cards. It costs 1575 to fuse two commons, so when it costs more than 1575 to boost a card, ill fuse them so the boost will be greater for the same price.
Also, whats your username?
