Other than the East WRs, I'd say the West has the more intriguing talent.

Scott Wright 01-06-2013 12:10 PM

I may like that group of West Tight End's (Fauria, Sudfeld and Kasa) more than any potential grouping they put together at the Senior Bowl. I do have a prospect crush on Kasa though.

rawdawg 01-06-2013 12:22 PM

Don't know much about Kasa, but big fan of Sudfeld. And Fauria is 6'7" and can move so yeah, that's a pretty good group.

Also like the potential starting DBs for the West, with Shamarco Thomas and Duke Williams at Safety with Hawthorne and Hurst at the CBs. Also big fan of the West's RBs if you put Riddick in that group.

MassNole 01-06-2013 12:26 PM

Nice to see 2 Noles in the game. Rodney Smith has been a tremendous disappointment over the years, sucks he took a record from E.G. Green because Fisher made sure he had 1 catch a game just to get it.

McCloud could be a solid player in the NFL, will never be a Pro Bowler, but could become a starter or key backup for some team. One of those guys who plays for 8-9 years without you realizing it.

brasho 01-06-2013 12:40 PM

I'm interesting in seeing how VTech WRs do to see if it was them that stunk or Logan Thomas... and then on the other other hand I'm interested in seeing Sean Renfree in action to see if it was him that was good or his WRs.

I thought it was also interesting seeing Zack Line and Rex Burkhead lining up for the East.. I think they could be disqualified for having more than one white RB on the team.

Scott Wright 01-06-2013 01:07 PM

I also love Virginia Tech WR Corey Fuller, who I think could be the next Stevie Johnson.

Great athlete with excellent size and speed plus major upside.

to stop kidding though, really hoping all of zeke, kap and riddick all do well there. great, tough kids, all of em

fischbowl 01-06-2013 03:23 PM

Isn't Jamie Collins playing in the Senior Bowl?

YotoJets007 01-06-2013 03:33 PM

Sean Renfree is out. Who in? I hope Ryan Radcliff.

Scott Wright 01-06-2013 09:11 PM

Some of those guys will drop out now that they have Senior Bowl invites.

scottyboy 01-06-2013 09:23 PM

watch out for Scott Vallone. one of my favorites.

rawdawg 01-06-2013 09:28 PM

Torn pec for Renfree. Not sure how long that will keep him out. I like him a lot. Was excited to see him play here too.

If it's truly torn and not strained or pulled, 6 months is the usual time onthe shelf. Not a good thing for him heading into the draft and minicamps.

CollegeFan 01-08-2013 12:32 AM

Watch out for #77 on East Team DE Mike Catapano....most athletic 270 lbs + player in this year's draft. Ran a 4.62 40 last week, has the fastest get off of any pass rusher you'll see and has great skills. Been training at Parisi Speed School in Jersey and is very impressive. Averaged 1.2 sacks a game this year.

RedVision 01-08-2013 04:24 PM

Burkhead is no longer on the official roster of the shrine game, is it because of an injury or was he invited to the Senior Bowl? anyone has an update on this?

regoob2 01-08-2013 05:01 PM

Anyone think Gerald Hodges is actually weighing 251?

SolidGold 01-13-2013 08:14 PM

East-West Shrine Bowl practices kick off tomorrow - pretty excited for the start of draft season

Shane P. Hallam 01-13-2013 09:31 PM

Really like the RB and WR group myself.

thetedginnshow 01-13-2013 10:42 PM

Anyone know where all the coverage will be shown? I'm assuming the game is on something ESPN?

Game is on NFL Network I don't think the practices are being televised.

regoob2 01-14-2013 11:32 AM

Gerald Hodges imo is the cream of the crop.

underscore 01-14-2013 07:25 PM

If Hodges is at 251, yikes. Seems suspicious though

Brent 01-14-2013 07:56 PM

I am really intrigued by Matt Scott. Cameron Colby, too.

SomethingAboutFB 01-14-2013 09:40 PM

The east carries an impressive RB core, but they are probably discussed about non-stop :)
