Where will Steven Jackson sign?

This is a guy who can add a ground spark to a good offense, like Atlanta, Green Bay, or Denver.

Where do you think he'll end up?

I'm not sure of the cap situations in Atlanta and Denver but I do know Action Jackson would add a dimension to either of those offenses.

. Green Bay has plenty of space, except they want to extend Rodgers & Matthews, and BJ Raji. Packers have not had a guy at RB who defenses worried at all about since...... ?

Oh, come on. You act like JMike would create a thread that "cleverly" steers conversation toward Green Bay!

Hey hey, for the record and this vote will be public -like the Alex Smith to Kansas City one that I created and was CORRECT on-....... I am putting my $ on Atlanta landing him.

BallerT1215 03-10-2013 02:42 PM

Atlanta and Green bay make the most sense.

Halsey 03-10-2013 02:52 PM

Seems like it'll be the Falcons. People say he won't want to share carries with Jaquizz Rodgers, but I doubt the Falcons will have much problem reducing Rodgers carries. Rodgers is not that great a runner.

Agree.
Atlanta has been more aggressive over the years in adding guys....
Case-in-point, Tony Gonzalez.
About 6 years ago, Green Bay almost traded for him...... almost.
A few years later, Atlanta did.
Atlanta also brought in Michael Turner..... True Green Bay did bring in Cedric Benson finally last year, but it was late and cheap: they didn't have to bid against anyone else.

While SJ39 would help GB a lot, I would cross off the Pack from this.... it's not their MO to make moves like this.

FUNBUNCHER 03-10-2013 03:53 PM

I think Jackson makes the Falcons SB favorites. Denver too.

I don't see Stephen Jackson being any better than Michael Turner at this stage of their careers. they could win it but not sure that would be the reason.

Turner has been tip-toeing for the past few years.
Jackson still runs with fire when he gets the ball......

Jackson is much faster out there as a look back at their 2012 film will show.

SuperPacker 03-10-2013 04:26 PM

why is this a public poll? as if matters if you actually get it right.

I agree.
But Denver was the favorite this January too..... and they most likely will be again, them or NE, with or without 39.

Because I've caught a liar on here before who claimed, after the fact, that they said something when in reality they didn't.
That's why they OFFER the public poll..... truth syrum.

holt_bruce81 03-10-2013 04:42 PM

He's stated a number of times that he doesn't want to split carries.

but no one gives a **** if someone correctly guessed where steven jackson ends up.

Halsey 03-10-2013 04:43 PM

It's not just running ability that makes Steven Jackson an upgrade on paper over what Turner has been the last couple of years.

Some people who predicted it right do.

As you know, lotta people on here throw out ******** all the time, think they know things.... this is a nice little feature to see who actually does.

If you're afraid of a public vote: A) don't vote, or B) ask the site to remove the feature, or C) don't complain about it.

Agreed. I'd be surprised if he has a year like Corey Dillon did when he went to the Patriots.

I loved Corey Dillon as a Bengal, still remember winning big $ from that all-time great rushing performance he had one night.

But I think Jackson still has more speed now than CD28 did when he went to New England.
Sure there's more to it than pure "speed", but Jackson still runs hard as well.

He will give Atlanta (or Denver) a nice boost on offense IMO.

tell me who those people are, because the average age of these people cannot be over 12.

i'm not afraid of the public vote lol, as I said, I dont give a **** if I get it wrong or right. if you do you need to re-evaluate your life. which is why i brought it up, it's pointless.

PoopSandwich 03-10-2013 05:17 PM

I would rather have Steven Jackson over Barry Sanderson

FUNBUNCHER 03-10-2013 05:21 PM

Michael Turner has been fat and sloppy for at least 5 years going.
Steven Jackson is still capable of taking over games late.
If a team wants a closer at RB in the 4th quarter protecting a lead, I think Jackson fits for at least a couple seasons in Atlanta.

Jaquizz(?) Rogers needs help.

I always tell people when they bring up Turner, his legs legitimately died 2 years ago. DEAD...D ...E....A...D

Eazy Picks 03-10-2013 05:48 PM

Id bet on Green Bay. He doesnt mind the cold, he will be the undeniable feature back, and he'll have a good shot at winning a Super Bowl for the duration of his contract...Atlanta would make sense but he would have his carries cut into by Jacquizz. Denver would also make sense but Peyton may only have a year or two left in the tank and then what happens? GB will be knocking on the door every year as long as they have Rodgers and Jackson would make a huge impact on that offense. I feel like thats the team where his skill set would be best used. He can run between the tackles and really help balance the offense, but he is also a great blocker and can catch passes out of the backfield. GB doesnt like to mix in the scatback so much as other teams, but they love to run the spread, which can give Jackson a break, as they like to put Randall Cobb in the backfield a lot on those plays.
