Solid Miami pick

RCAChainGang 03-11-2013 10:22 AM

Meh, I would be upset to come out of the first two round with merely a NT. I would much rather see Demonster Moore or Desmond Trufant to the Colts.

no thanks on richardson for the saints, he has no fit in the saints new 3-4 and the spot he would play if he would be slotted in a bad situation would be the one spot where the starters are set for the saints D

zachsaints52 03-11-2013 05:55 PM

Sheldon Richardson.... Go to bed.

BallerT1215 03-11-2013 06:34 PM

Passing on Jarvis for Patterson would hurt me on the insides a little....

vidae 03-11-2013 07:02 PM

Good KC pick.

Unbiased 03-11-2013 07:09 PM

What do we do with Eric Fisher?

Umm. Nyquil much?? No way the Rams go back to back receivers in the first round.

Heh...Lotsa Rams fans don't even think we will go wideout before the 3rd round.

I highly doubt the Bengals will draft a DE in the 1st now that they just franchised Michael Johnson and re-sign Wallace Gilberry. If the Bengals pass on Vaccaro they are dumb they have needed a impact safety for the longest time.

This. The Colts really, really don't need a NT. Moore is the easy pick there. Or Carradine.

killxswitch 03-12-2013 12:15 AM

Inexplicable double post.

ChicagoBearsVet23 03-12-2013 12:55 AM

We need a LT. Fluker is not that. We would take Eifert.

49erNation85 03-12-2013 01:38 AM

Just an ok pick for Sf.

Here's where I disagree with my colleagues. I think that if Mingo, Jones, or Jordan are there, the pick is very simple for us. But if none of them are on the board, I would not be opposed to the Richardson pick because he has the versatility to play DE in a 3-4 scheme. The Saints are running a 1-gap, under system in which the right DE will play a 3-tech role, not the traditional 5-tech. Jordan will play the 5-tech, Richardson would be quite capable of playing the other side. It is the reason that we can keep Will Smith at DE even though he would be undersized in a traditional 3-4, 2-gap scheme.

Ideally, there will be an OLB on the board that we can take since I think we have some depth at DE with Jordan, Smith, Hicks, and Tom Johnson. So the Richardson pick would be a tad redundant. But my criticism of the pick would have to do with the depth at the position, not whether or not he could fit into our scheme.

proshoota25 03-12-2013 09:51 PM

ehhh.. not the biggest fan of hopkins. I would much rather have Matt Elam in that spot personally
