Mock 2.0

An up-all-nighter draft, and in hindsight, there's a lot I don't like. Thought about revising it before posting, but I figured I'd get some extra thoughts before I did...

Terrible first round pick. but solid second picks.

Don Vito 03-13-2013 12:12 PM

The Pats need a pass rusher but I would take Carradine over Damontre Moore. DeAndre Hopkins at the end of round 2 is a pipe dream but I wouldn't complain if it happened.

Monomach 03-13-2013 12:13 PM

Kevin Minter over Arthur Brown makes me incredibly sad. Would make 100x more sense to switch the picks, as Brown has the speed for the Chicago defense and Minter is a perfect 3-4 ILB for Baltimore.

Don't even get me started on Manti Te'o in the second...

It's like you have the Bears switching to a 3-4, needing both ILBs, and cutting Lance Briggs.

Patterson is a pick that makes sense, although I think Jones is a better value at a postion of greater need, and IMO Fisher or Johnson are better values that solidify the tackle spots w/Glenn, the need might be skewed more towards WR but debatable.
Manuel IMO does not have the head, or make the quick decisions to run Marrone's offense IMO, but the postion certainly looks like a must in the first two rounds right now. If Marrone is cooking the meal, then he should be helping Nix to shop for the groceries if you know what Bill Parcels is cooking.

I can't see Logan going that high. And I would rather have Hopkins or Allen than Austin I think.

thebow305 03-13-2013 12:22 PM

Williams in the 2nd is just a God awful pick, but I could dig Lane and Eifert for the first two picks. DeAndre Hopkins or Justin Hunter would would better at 2b.

killxswitch 03-13-2013 12:33 PM

Trufant is fine. I could see us going for Carradine, Moore, or Jones over him. We just signed a solid CB deal with Greg Toler, but that wouldn't preclude taking a good CB in the first.

BallerT1215 03-13-2013 12:34 PM

Very nice two picks for the offense. I think EJ fits Marrone's offense pretty nicely and obviously Patterson can stretch the field.

ChicagoBearsVet23 03-13-2013 02:18 PM

Give the Bears Austin in the 1st and its absolutely perfect!! Te'o is great value in the second.

billsfootball15 03-13-2013 06:08 PM

any mock with the bills getting patterson gets an A+ from me!

vidae 03-13-2013 06:26 PM

Good KC pick.

RCAChainGang 03-13-2013 09:51 PM

I like Trufant a lot.

the_legend_killer 03-13-2013 10:01 PM

Sub Allen for Austin at 25 (Jarius Wright can play in the slot) and Amerson for Logan at 52 and I just might try to hug you.

Shupp 03-14-2013 01:08 AM

Very solid SF draft

Definition of Oversight on my end. Will try not to make that mistake again (getting 2 ILBs).

Robcards 03-14-2013 08:10 AM

Considering one of the only FAs the Jets are pursuing is Brandon Gibson, I'd say a WR is 100% not going to be a position drafted by them in the first 2 days. They will end up with a FA WR, Santonio restructured, and we have 3 more years of Hill and Kerley is actually pretty good. That said, Allen in the 2nd round would be a steal and a half.

Also I'd be ecstatic with Jarvis Jones. Sounds like his the stenosis is a non-issue so he'd be a steal at 9.

CJSchneider 03-14-2013 01:12 PM

Mingo to NO is a solid pick.

This! Mingo would be an ideal pick!

J-Mike88 03-14-2013 11:35 PM

Nice work, but Arthur Brown cannot make it past the Packers at 26.
If he's there, it's a boomshakkalaka slam dunk and he'll be the NFLDROY.
