3 Round Mock

here is my latest 3 round mock draft (31 March)

so you give the saints a guy who doesnt fit in our new 34 scheme at all in the first in Richardson and just randomly take our third round pick and give it to someone else for no compensation. no thanks

RCAChainGang 04-01-2013 05:42 AM

I don't like Jonathan Hankins at 24 for the Colts. I would much rather have Damontre Moore to rotate in as a pass rusher.

I don't mind drafting a corner, but I'm not sure about Mathieu. It is definitely interesting. I think Leon McFadden would be a safer pick.

I think Richardson can play DE in the 3-4, particularly in a one gap system like Ryan's.

As far as the third round pick, that was just off the system - I have asked it to be corrected.

that would still put him on one of the few positions where the saints have quality young starters. that being said i also just flat out disagree with him being even a decent fit in a 1 gap system, people underestimate the difference between a 3 tech in a traditional 4 man front and a 3 tech in a 3 man front 1 gap system.

A DE in the 3-4 is a 5 tech.

But I do get your basic point, i'll make a couple of tweaks

the saints scheme is most likely to include a 5 tech, a 3 tech and a 1 tech, just like the ravens have ran it for a while now, not 2 5 techs

Big_Pete 04-01-2013 06:47 AM

made a few tweaks

also assume the #75 pick is the Saints not Patriots

The_Dude 04-01-2013 08:16 AM

Well done for the Vikes. Trufant, S Williams (who i am a bit iffy on), Hopkins, & Winters would be a hella good first 3 rounds.

DiG 04-01-2013 08:18 AM

Skins pick doesn't make much sense. We brought in 3 free agent right tackles and have spoken highly of last years drafted rt. We have no healthy starting safeties on the roster. I can't imagine leaving the 3rd round without taking a safety. Will Davis is a bit of a reach in the 3rd too. I'd much prefer Wreh Wilson or Alford. Even better might be Slay in the second and Swearinger or Duke Williams in the 3rd.

phlysac 04-01-2013 08:49 AM

Ertz/Jenkins would be one of my LEAST favorite combinations for 31/34

Blackluck 04-01-2013 09:43 AM

Very good Patriot draft, I'd be happy with that. (Although I think BB is looking for DE over DT, that and he's never drafted a WR in the 1st.)

49erNation85 04-01-2013 10:22 AM

That is one terrible mock all rounds for sf what a fail!

thebow305 04-01-2013 10:46 AM

That's a pretty solid Miami draft. Addresses pretty much all our top needs, except a slot receiver in the middle rounds.

Trogdor 04-01-2013 10:58 AM

Excellent first two picks for Dallas. I'm leery on Reid but fully understand the need.

Personally I would take Terron Armstead over him without blinking.

If we do take Richardson - Reid in the first two Brian Winters would need to be the pick in the 3rd. Our offensive line is flat out terrible and we can't avoid it completely.

Lemonier wouldn't be much more than a situational pass rusher while Winters could potentially start given the talent level at each position.

Richardson at 18 is a flat-out steal though.

JungleRock85 04-01-2013 11:07 AM

Good job drafting for the Bengals in this mock.

Matthew Jones 04-01-2013 11:41 AM

I can dig Hunter and Wreh-Wilson, but I'd prefer Wheaton or Carradine in the second round.

billsfootball15 04-01-2013 11:57 AM

Yes! Yes! Yes! A+ Bills mock!!!

Don Vito 04-01-2013 11:59 AM

Justin Hunter in the first is awesome for the Pats. Brandon Williams in the second, not so much. Give us Carradine there even though in reality he probably won't be available. Wreh-Wilson in the third is a fine pick.

What he said. Very underwhelming draft for the 49ers from my perspective.

killxswitch 04-01-2013 12:15 PM

What is it going to take for people to stop giving the Colts Jonathan Hankins? The Colts are getting two guys back from injury at NT, signed Aubrayo Franklin, and tendered Martin Tevaseu. NT is not happening in the first. Even if Hankins was worth it, which he isn't.

princefielder28 04-01-2013 12:51 PM

I like all the Green Bay selections...not sure they'll go all offense to start the draft though

Pat Sims 90 04-01-2013 01:02 PM

Passing on Vaccaro is a big time fail for the Bengals.

BallerT1215 04-01-2013 01:20 PM

Pretty Solid Bills draft that covers our needs.

I'm not overly high on Nassib or Khasim though.

SunTzu_22 04-01-2013 09:03 PM

Ravens picking Damontre Moore after signing Elvis Dumervil, and with Arthur Brown as well as Kevin Minter still available? And then another OLB in Sio Moore in the third round...?
Thanks, but no thanks.
