Trashed Hotel Room at the Combine

From NFP:

"NFL teams still were trying to find out about an incident in which a hotel room at the combine was trashed, apparently by two players who were staying there. One of the players is a potential first round draft pick, and the incident could affect both players’ stock. Front office men hoped to speak with one of the players about it at his pro day, but the player curiously made himself unavailable to talk."

Anyone any ideas as to who these two are?

This kind of "report" is worthless without names. Just trying to stir up a buzz.

Watch many start to speculate Tyran Mathieu.

WCH 04-15-2013 05:30 AM

Looking at the bigger picture, I'm guessing that nobody really cares if some 22 year olds trashed a hotel room.

No way. Mathieu is just a stoner. At worst he cleaned out the mini bar for snacks, and watched Lord of the Rings on pay per view.

Robcards 04-15-2013 10:06 AM

They don't know which prospects were staying in which rooms? That seems highly implausible, and ridiculously irresponsible if so. For future reference if you go to the combine, drink the whole mini-bar!

This is when you know the draft is getting close.

Then again, what idiots if they did trash the room.

I don't know. I think when you have the high pressure job of picking high round players that need to fit within NFL standards of conduct, immaturity and disrespect like this won't be that easily dismissed. It's especially stupid to do it around your peers at the combine.

Don't care that they did, care that they did at the Combine. They failed the easy part of the Idiot Test.

The NFL knows who they are, the names simply haven't been released/leaked yet. And I'm going to have to agree with Shane, its not so much that two young players trashed a room, its that they did it at what is supposed to basically be their penultimate workout/interview.

Oh I misunderstood, I read it as they were looking into who did it.

killxswitch 04-15-2013 11:58 AM

Mingo and Montgomery. Wild guess.

thebow305 04-15-2013 12:01 PM

Even read that they left feces in the toilet and in other odd areas of the room. Seriously, that is just disgusting and animal-like. This may even cause me to consider leaving the individual/s off my draft board, depending on other isolated incidents and other specifics about this one. Just not the way a person handles himself and speaks to a serious lack of maturity and responsibility.

steelernation77 04-15-2013 12:01 PM

James Vandenberg, most likely.

SunTzu_22 04-15-2013 12:24 PM

It was probably just this guy: http://www.brobible.com/files/upload...ay-twitter.jpg

Trashing a hotel room shows extreme immaturity. If these players already had red flags, I could see them falling even further. If not, it definitely opened some eyes and have teams reconsidering their stance on the issue

the NFL Draft needs buzz? I doubt the NFL wants to be involved with any negativity

It's easy for us to say that. If you're an owner getting ready to pay these guys millions, you don't just brush it aside.

The rumor is Mark Harrison and Cordarrelle Patterson, but people can't even confirm that they were roommates. I don't know if it will even leak out.

Scotty D 04-15-2013 01:24 PM

I was thinking its possible some groupies or someone grabbed a key during a party in the room. Came back and trashed it. But that seems like a stretch. They would have to come back to the room before checking out.

Punisher 04-15-2013 08:43 PM

Perhaps potential sleep walking ala Step Brothers.

Not sure the NFL would have invited CP to the draft if they knew he had trashed a room at the combine.

But hey, stuff happens when you party naked. Still not sure how I wasn't charged for that TV in Atlanta last year....

Anybody got a link for CP being implicated?
