Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame

Why is everyone sleeping on this guy? He should go anywhere after the 12th overall pick. YES that high. What more do you want in a TE? 6 foot 6 check, 250 check, 4.68 40 check, 35.5 Vert check. Combine Top Performer in every test for TE's. Has shown that he can high ball grabs. Is what you're looking for in today's TE's in the NFL. Don't sleep the guy can ball!

He's going to be a mid-first round pick and nobody is denying this. It is strange that their hasn't been teams lining up for visits though.

I feel like a hell of a lot of people aren't sleeping on him and agree that he could easily go in the teens...

One of the safest and best picks in the draft. He can help out a lot of teams, Browns, Jets, Dolphins, Steelers - a lock for the top 20 as far as I'm concerned. With the TE position being a bigger part of offences, getting a guy like this on your team should be a high priority if you don't already have one.

I don't know how everyone is sleeping on him when he's the top TE in every set of rankings you look at.

Halsey 04-23-2013 11:41 PM

I could see him going top 10. He's the safest offensive skill position player in this Draft.

Monomach 04-24-2013 01:26 AM

Like three people in the world don't have him as the #1 TE in the draft. How the hell is he being slept on?

holt_bruce81 04-24-2013 02:12 AM

Yeah like mentioned above, who's sleeping on him? Everyone pretty much has him going in the top 25. Some even have him going top 15.

Robcards 04-24-2013 03:02 AM

Stop sleeping on Luke Joeckel guys! What more do you want from him!

#1 TE on most boards. Very good TE but isn't special. Later 1st in my eyes.

boknows34 04-24-2013 04:04 AM

The Dolphins at 12 and Jets at 13 will give him serious consideration.

K Train 04-24-2013 07:56 AM

I could see the steelers taking him if jones and patterson arent there at 17

Define "special" in a TE in your eyes. Look at his film, production, and times at the combine.
That is special.

The film and production isn't special though. He's a good player and will be a solid tight end.

i think he'll be a better pro, he will be split out wide far more often than not and hes got some really great jump ball ability. I think he'll out produce Gresham, rudolph, and Pettigrew...some of the recent first round TEs

Rudolph was a second rounder...

Eifert is a special talent. Don't hold ND's inconsistent QB play against him. If you had a chance to study ND's game tape, I would bet Eifert was technically open on at least 95% of his routes.

He might be the best overall pass catching threat in the draft. I can't think of a better pick offensively for a team like Cleveland or the Jets.

He should go top 15.

The young QB there wasn't even looking his way early in the season. I think Alabama would attest to his talent, he was the only player for the Irish who stood out in that game.

Not seeing him getting by the two Jets picks to be honest.

MIA signed our last 1st round TE dud Dustin Keller, would they go for Eifert?

Jets are supp high on Ertz but I'd love it if we got Eifert.
