Final "DC" Mock Draft - 4/25/13

Just posted my seventh and final mock draft of the year! And it's a three rounder!

As always constructive criticism is not only welcomed but encouraged. However, please be sure to explain the reasoning behind your opinions and if you disagree tell me why I am off-base.

Let's keep this thread fun and informative!

Now... FIRE AWAY! :)

Very solid Pats mock. Intrigued by Bahktiari in the 3rd although I think Barrett Jones would be the more likely pick.

I think Robert Woods is a better fit than Hunter at WR however Hunter provides true #1 WR upside. Either way I would be happy. Really like BWW in the 2nd too

The one thing I'm going to point out, I know you're not really a "trades" guy, but if you've got the Atlanta/Chicago trade in there, surely you ought to have Chicago picking twice in the third round?

As for the mock itself, I like it, there's a lot of guys that seem to go a bit low such as DeAndre Hopkins, but then again I think there are 15 or so first round locks and then maybe 30 guys who have a shot at being among the other 17 players, so there will definitely be one or two guys in that first round conversation who end up falling well into the forties.

I quite like it for Denver. Not sure about the first round Cornerback pickup since we have a ton of young talent at that position, but Taylor is definitely value down at 28. I do like Montgomery and Bostic though.

I also have a strong feeling the Vikes wait till round 2 to pick up a WR. So Teo and Williams make sense. And I wouldnt hate those picks.

villagewarrior 04-25-2013 07:01 AM

I'm assuming you're projecting that Albert gets traded to Miami?

NIN1984 04-25-2013 07:52 AM

If Raiders go Floyd in the first I would love to draft Brandon Williams in the 3rd. Pair those guys together for the next 5+ years. I have been waiting forever for the Raiders address the DT position.

Kind of a meh Chiefs mock imo, but I love Tyler Wilson in the third, so you get an A+ from me.

Xavier Rhodes would be EXCELLENT. Though I think the Colts would seriously consider Werner at that spot as well. I don't think they would seriously consider a corner other than Rhodes or of course Milliner at 24 though.

I'd like to see the compensation the Bears get with that trade. You don't have the Falcons giving them their 2nd or 3rd. The Bears 1st and 4th for the Falcons 1st and 2nd would be fair compensation based on the chart. But I like the trade and like the players.

princefielder28 04-25-2013 08:29 AM

I'd be cool with that Packers draft

DiG 04-25-2013 08:33 AM

I love the Swearinger/Alford combo for the Skins. Really surprised to see Keenan Allen falling all the way to the 3rd and surprised not to see Stedman Bailey at all.

scottyboy 04-25-2013 08:40 AM

absolutely incredible Giants mock. I'd die of happiness with Tank and Brown. Winters fills a need as well, I'd probably prefer CB, but it's a deep class and we need OL help. brava good sir, brava

thebow305 04-25-2013 08:44 AM

Solid Miami draft, although I question Banks' scheme fit for our new zone looks. Do you envision him moving to safety eventually?

LOVE the value of the Okafor and Bernard picks in the 3rd. Eifert and Keller would be a great duo to help Tannehill's development next season.

bored of education 04-25-2013 08:46 AM

No Iowa tackles to KC = A+

G8R B8 04-25-2013 08:53 AM

Not angry with Fluker @ 18.

Very angry that Cooper, Warmack, Vaccaro, Richardson, Eifert are all off the board before we pick!

Short is at a position of need. Just not a fan of his.

It's pretty much guarantee we will end up with Bell or Stepfan Taylor.

DavelinaJolie 04-25-2013 09:48 AM

You know, I probably wouldn't hate Landry Jones a couple rounds later. I don't really hate it there, I just think there are more pressing issues.

CeA87 04-25-2013 09:53 AM

Keenan Allen in the 3rd would be sexy:drool:

Justone2 04-25-2013 10:13 AM

If we would grab Datone Jones instead of Margues Hunt i would be pretty happy with that draft.

steelernation77 04-25-2013 10:27 AM

Even with the loss of Keenan Lewis, a nickel corner in the 3rd round doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Curtis Brown and Willie *** should provide plenty of depth behind the starters. The third round seems pretty high for a player that will sit behind them when the Steelers have more pressing needs.

49erNation85 04-25-2013 10:30 AM

A meh type of sf draft. I'll take it but won't be thrilled.

dollarbill13 04-25-2013 10:47 AM

I've been clicking refresh on the mock draft page since March 23, waiting for this update.

If you could swap Jesse Williams for Monteee Ball for the Packers draft (he goes with the next pick!), I would be ecstatic.

Hell, I'd rather have Jesse Williams than Björn Werner too.

Smooth Criminal 04-25-2013 11:31 AM

I'd love the Steelers getting Jones. Have to have a pass rush. I'd definitely rather take Robert Woods in the 2nd round though.

wicket 04-25-2013 11:41 AM

Love the saints third rounder (brandon williams) but i can not even express how mad id be if the saints drafted vaccaro. bigger needs, better value (even vs concensus, not jsut for me as i think vaccaro is ridiculously overrated) and better fits are all available. absolutely HATE the pick

WMD 04-25-2013 11:59 AM

You should change the dark horse pick for the Lions to Jonathan Cooper. The Lions supposedly love him.
