Shoe Thread

I remember there was one on here a while ago but it died so I figured start one up again because everyone loves shoes.

I just got these but in suede gray w/ a white swoosh.

I also just bought these recently

Was looking at a pair of Onitsuka Tigers that were the same color scheme as the ones in the picture not long ago, but they didn't fit my large, flat feet. :(

I'm just sporting all white chucks and tan Sperry canvas when I'm not working.

I have some cheapish dress shoes for work until I sack up and get these:

AE Park Ave. are the gateway shoes. Protip: buy seconds and you can get them for under $200.

Rob thoughts on these?

I bought 'em a couple months ago for a wedding

Caveat: take everything I say in this thread with a grain of salt. I am a massive snob. That said, I'm not a fan. At least give them some TLC if you like them...shoes trees and a polish can do shoes of any quality a world of good. Generally speaking, the "big names" - Gucci, Hugo Boss, Steve Madden, etc - are generally poor value compared to something like AE seconds for example.

Always a classic. I still love air forces they have really fallen off over the years though. I don't like my shoes over the top just something basic is fine with me.

These are my day to day shoes.

I'm thinking of picking up a pair of Desert shoes in the next week or so though.

Scott Wright 08-21-2013 06:32 PM

I've gotten a new pair of these every few years for almost two decades.

We wear the same brand of shoes.....good to know.

RufusMcDaniel 08-21-2013 07:03 PM

I wear these most of the time.

When I work, I wear these since they are steel toe and I'm required to wear them.

dabears10 08-21-2013 07:52 PM

So I am buying shoes to go with my newly purchased tan suit.
The initial even will be a wedding on Lake Michigan outside. Who likes which, if any?

Yeah, I've been delaying them until I prove to myself that I can take properly care of the cheapies I currently have now.

Have the same shoes. Love that I can just wipe them off, toss them in the dryer and they look like new again. Only problem is my dog likes to lay on them, so I'm going to get blue/black ones soon.

What actual color is the tan suit?

Bengals78 08-21-2013 08:53 PM

I usually wear DC's anymore since they are a bit wider and I have odd feet. (size 14 and wide).
Need a new pair. Finding them is ******* impossible.

Those were the first pair of Air Jordan's I ever owned in the fifth grade!

Begged my parents for a year.

DoughBoy 08-22-2013 01:12 AM

I love these, favorite pair of shoes I've ever owned.

nepg 08-22-2013 01:36 AM
