Nix isn't the type of DT the cowboys are looking for. Other than that, rather a player like Ward over the CB in the 4th.

Nastradamus 02-22-2014 10:27 PM

Not a huge fan for Detroit, but Barr does intrigue me. Probably in a Von Miller type role. I'm not a huge Roberson guy and I don't want to wait until the 3rd for WR. Also not a huge Coleman guy. I like Denicos Allen and the FSU safety is fine as well.

Steve Belichick 02-22-2014 10:47 PM

Wow Kelvin Benjamin falling to the Patriots in round two would be an awesome situation for them.

phlysac 02-23-2014 12:10 AM

I have a hard time thinking the 49ers would add three WRs when the #3 WR (Quinton Patton/Mario Manningham/Jon Baldwin) almost never sees the field to begin with.

thebow305 02-23-2014 12:30 AM

Regardless of what we do in free agency, after the first day of the combine, if Taylor Lewan is there for Miami, not only so they have to take him, I think there's a strong likelihood they will. Based on how your draft fell, this is how I see the draft unfolding for Miami:

1. Taylor Lewan
2. Lamarcus Joyner
3. Dominique Easley
4. Dakota Dozier
5. Carl Bradford
6. Kadeem Edwards

the_legend_killer 02-23-2014 12:43 AM

Rounds 2-6 for the Vikings are fine, but it's hard to wash off the stink of Derek Carr at #8. Especially when Mettenberger and Garoppolo are taken after the Vikings in Round 4. Lots of chances to grab either of those two.

J-Mike88 02-23-2014 07:34 AM

No good for the Packers. Negative Ghost Rider.

#1- This team does not draft WR's in Round one, and it's not that big of an immediate need either. Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, James Jones.... all guys in Rounds 2 or later. Same with Jarrett Boykin. Donald Driver was a 7th rounder. The 1st round for a WR doesn't happen with this team. Not their MO. Change that to Calvin Pryor, or a DL, LB.

#2- Your 3rd round pick for us, that has to be ILB Chris Borland in this scenario. He would become Zach Thomas/Bobby Wagner for us.

A+ for effort though on the 6-rounder.

wicket 02-23-2014 07:42 AM

id take that saints draft, meets most needs. might pick safety or something over a second corner but that small potatoes

E_Bird 02-23-2014 07:50 AM

No RB's in the first two rounds is kind of silly.

The_Dude 02-23-2014 10:52 AM

Carr @ 8 is horrible, but Shazier in the 2nd is nice & the rest of the draft was ok for my Vikes

I actually think its entirely possible with the depth in this draft, and that's not knock on the RB's. watching the combine right now my original grades are coming back, and I'm buying the deepest draft in years.

zachsaints52 02-23-2014 01:11 PM

I can honestly say I really like that draft for the Saints. Thank you for listening.

dan77733 02-23-2014 04:41 PM

If the 49ers were to pass on Pryor for Beckham, I would be cursing up a storm. Bad 49ers mock. UGH.

SickwithIt1010 02-23-2014 04:55 PM

Gilbert >>> Ealy in the first and it's damn near perfect.

holt_bruce81 02-23-2014 07:14 PM

If the Rams don't take Clowney, I don't want a DE until late rounds. And that's such a boring first rounder for us, I hate Haha.

Yeah, I really would be happy with that.

njx9 02-23-2014 09:45 PM

i can't honestly imagine any way there's a better draft for denver.

Bengals78 02-23-2014 10:31 PM

That Cincinnati draft is garbage.

gouldo 02-24-2014 03:11 AM

Miami's picks....

Cant see them passing on Taylor Lewan or Eric Ebron if they are there at 19. Mewhort is fine in the 2nd, even if they take Lewan in the 1st. Quarles in the 3rd is ok, Mike Kavis would be nice too.

Kouandjio will not go in the 1st round, and may even drop to the 3rd after his poor combine.

proshoota25 02-24-2014 11:53 AM

Amaro/Benjamin would be beastlyyyy for the Pats. Wont happen though.

Thecollegedropout 02-25-2014 12:31 AM

You had me until the Mettenberger pick. I can live with the Mason pick I guess.....but still.

The Jets can't take a RB or QB before one of our biggest needs, S(or CB). The fact we don't upgrade our secondary if at all this 6 round draft leads me to think

A) You might not have been aware of how big play prone our awful secondary was in 2013.

B) We are signing TJ Ward, Verner and Cromartie with the money we have.

xstamper13 02-25-2014 11:15 AM

Wow...you must really hate the Raiders. If out draft went like that heads would definitely roll. Ugly.

1) Absolutely no way in hell we are taking Bortles. He needs AT LEAST 3 years on the bench to become, maybe, a viable option as a starting QB. This regime needs players that can contribute right away. Mack would be the pick here.

2) Jernigan over Donald? No way. Donald is the pick here.

3) Also can't see us taking a RB this early. We will resign Jennings and Murray will be healthy. I do see us grabbing a few UDFA RB's though. Getting Gabe Jackson here would be a steal...and more importantly address a MUCH bigger need.

4) If Garoppolo is still available in the 4th (which there's absolutely NO way in hell he will) then it's a no-brainer. 2nd best QB prospect in the draft. However, I think your pick in Lynch is a good one.

6) Give me Caraun Reid (DT) here and I think we have knocked this draft out of the park.

Mack
Donald
Gabe Jackson
Aaron Lynch
Caraun Reid

49erNation85 02-25-2014 12:03 PM

Also agree about 49ers draft almost great one getting the lsu wide out.. But then drafting 2 more ugh not a good one. Nice try though .

essential 02-25-2014 02:13 PM

Great Bills draft outside of Charles Sims in the 3rd, RB is low on our need list. I'd probably take the risk with Dominique Easley at that point, but overall very good draft.
