He wore a hat of a company that wasnt sponsored by the NFL.

100K seems just a bit excessive.

VoteLynnSwan 04-18-2007 05:09 PM

and here I thought he actually did something...

cardsalltheway 04-18-2007 05:12 PM

It was at the Super Bowl and thats what the rules dictate. I'm sure Brian can afford it and/or VitaminWater probably picked up the tab anyway.

The threads that get made in the off-season are hilarious.

"Urlacher wore a wrong kind of hat"

"Mario Williams likes fast cars, and to party"

Seriously.

BigDawg819 04-18-2007 05:16 PM

Indeed the NFL is not exactly a year round sport, but hey we try.

There are some topics that are often used as filler threads. "Overrated/Underrated," "Predictions," and "_____ versus ______" threads, in particular. I can handle those. These don't really mean anything.

Agreed, although when I read this article a tear spewed out of my eye....

Sponsorship is a very serious issue in the NFL especially at the Super Bowl Media Day.

Splat 04-18-2007 06:26 PM

I believe the NFL could be sued over this is why he got the big fine.

Namy 04-18-2007 06:30 PM

Ew. Of all things vitamin water?? Hahaha vit. water is NASTY.

BigDawg819 04-18-2007 06:32 PM

Which is ironic because the fine is bringing more attention to Gatorade's competitor than Urlacher ever did by wearing a hat.

cunningham06 04-18-2007 07:02 PM

Wow that is ridiculous.

jets future 04-18-2007 07:06 PM

lol. damn 100,000 is a lil way too much thought. just for wearing a hat. how much was bush fined for wearing the adidas sneaker in traing camp this year. i forgot. but he just wore a hat though. not even in a game

Sveen 04-18-2007 07:08 PM

I have a feeling he isn't the one paying the fine...

dabears10 04-18-2007 07:27 PM

Vitamin water is greater than gatorade.

Ravens1991 04-18-2007 07:40 PM

I prefer Lemon-Lime gatorade, that stuff is the bomb.
