All NFLDC K - Neil Rackers

This is too find out who you here aat NFLDC think would be most suited to cover deep

All K's have been chosen for either their ability to accurately kick, sty composed, make the big kicks

the options are as follows, if you think i have missed someone (i dont think i have) then tell me and if i think ur reason is valid enough i will add them

If a Position has two players on the field (WR, DE, DT, CB) then the top two players on the poll will be selected, wth the higgher of the two being the #1 and the lower being #2

QB - Tom Brady - New England Patriots (Runner Up - Peyton Manning - Indianapolis Colts)
RB - LaDainian Tomlinson - San Diego Chargers (Runner Up - Larry Johnson - KC Chiefs)
FB - Lorenzo Neal - San Diego Chargers (Runner Up - Tony Richardson - Minnesota Vikings)

VOTE AWAY

AND PLEASE NO HOMERISM, IF YOU VOTE AGAINST YOUR TEAMS K IT WONT MEAN YOU GO TO HELL, IT JUST MEANS THAT YOU DONT THINK HE IS THE BEST K

ADDITION
When DE's are selected if the two winners/runners up are from the same side then I will decide who i believe will be best able too cope with a side switch.

ADDITION #2
Due too contravrtial circumstances Keith Brooking has not been awarded the runner up for WLB instead it has ben given too third place Derrick Brooks. This comes after twice Brooking recieved a mass influx of votes in a small period of time and P-L announcing someone had multiple accounts on the same IP. I made the decision too not award him the Runner Up. Any Problems PM me.

ADDITION #3
Due too a high influx of sudden votes Charles Woodson has been disqualified as a participant in the CB voting. Instead Chris McCallister has taken his spot.

ADDITION # 4
Despite a sudden influx of votes Tony Richardson was still awarded second place.

P.S. the only way that this can be successful is if you vote, please if you vote here check back when your on too see if a new poll has gone up, all votes are crucial as the more votes there are the more set in stone the voice of the voters will be :D

Thanks,

Phil Dawson is easily in the top 5 of kickers. I agree with DMW, no offense to you Stephenson but your lack of exposure to all of the NFL games doesn't make you the most qualified person to make these lists.

Oh it's fine dude, I meant on offense. I think you've done a good job with these and it was a fun idea to do in the first place (even if somewhat meaningless). You are correct in that while there have been a few high profile omissions, none of them would have made the top 2 anyway. No biggie..it's all in good fun anyway.

i did make some big blunders eg the spikes exclusion and the shaun rogers exclusion but i made sure they were re done, my only real source of information is madden, nfl.com and what i hear floating around on here

In my eyes it should be Adam Vinatieri, but I could understand Vanderjagt, even if he seems extremely unpopular now. But Rackers has been succesful for one season only and kicker is a position where experience has to be key (and age doesn`t matter at all)

Splat 08-10-2006 06:54 PM

Anybody that does not vote Adam Vinatieri should be banned.

GARY ANDERSON

im gonna do a poll of 10 recent retired players who i reckon should get an honarary place on the team - i think i will exclude jerry rice though  other wise there would be no need in doing it :P

I guess you've never heard of David Akers? Vinatieri it is anyways, but Akers is probably the 2nd best kicker in the league. All of Rackers' kicks were inside the 20.

Staubach12 08-10-2006 07:00 PM

Neal Rackers. He was gold for me in fantasy last year.

Hahaha. Neil Rackers has made 11 50 yarders since 2002. Vinateri has made NONE.

Splat 08-10-2006 07:20 PM

Vinatieri is the GOAT!

smittyjs 08-10-2006 08:18 PM

Adam Vinatieri

Ravens1991 08-10-2006 08:30 PM

Adam Vinateri.

MichaelJordanEberle (sabf) 08-10-2006 08:46 PM

No Elam? I think he deserves to be on there. The man can flat out kick. He made a 63-yarder for christ's sake!

draftguru151 08-10-2006 09:07 PM

Rackers was a monster last season.

Smooth Criminal 08-10-2006 09:35 PM

While Vinatieri made all the kicks that mattered they have been better kickers in the league every year he has been in it. The only reason he is thought of as good is because of all of the situations that his team put him in to win games. Not many of the kicks he made to win games were hard kicks to make by any means. Its not like he makes incredibly long kicks or makes every kick he attempts. Its only the amount of game winners he has is what makes people think he is good. Rackers would have made every kick that Vinatieri made to win games last year.

I can't say Vanderjact is better because he doesn't even do kickoffs.
