College Gameday Thread: Week 14
Discuss all week 14 games.
Western Michigan/Ball State tonight.
TAMU/UT Thursday night.
WVU/Pitt on Friday, as well as a few other decent match ups.
GT/UGA, UF/FSU, and Maryland/BC should be good.
Oregon/Oregon State and OU/OK state are the two big games.

Nate Davis is starting to look like a late first rounder to me.

What's with the turf on the field? It's ruining this game...

So Colt McCoy just basically threw down the gauntlet today in the Heisman race. Sam Bradford will need to really win big against Oklahoma State to win it I think

Colt is so damn good, i'd hate to see him leave after this season. It's up to the voters now. I hope Oklahoma looks sluggish against Okie State and we get back some of those voters that went to OU's side.

Second week in a row WVU gets screwed on an obvious review that should have been reversed. Last week the Jarrett Brown TD run, this week Lankster gets an obvious pick and the review doesn't overturn an incomplete call on the field. At least Pitt floundered and punted... let's go 'eers!!

WVU lucked out on that one. It was a pick and should have been reversed, but you guys made out with better field position by not having the call overturned.

Was it? I didn't see what yard line the catch was made at, but WVU started on their own 16 the following drive after the punt. Either way, it's frustrating to see another WVU big play missed on review for the second week in a row.
Thankfully Quinton Andrews just prevented a TD, and it's 7-3 Pitt at the half. Should be tied if not for a horrible end to WVU's scoring drive where White runs east-west rather than turning upfield for an easy score, followed by a horrible play call on the White sweep option pass with only one receiving target.
WVU's offense has been anemic so far, but hopefully this is yet another game where they start slow but finish strong. Pitt's defense I think is playing well, so someone for the Mountaineers is going to have to take advantage of an opportunity.

10-0 Ole Miss with 8 minutes left in the first, Ashlee Palmer just had a crazy one handed interception of MSU QB Tyson Lee. Lee has been getting rocked every time he drops back.
edit-
30 seconds left in the first quarter, 24-0 Ole Miss. Snead is 9-9 or 117 yards and 2 TDs. Shay Hodge already has 6 catches for 76 and a TD, Mike Wallace caught the other TD and Dexter McCluster had a 36 yard TD run. Domination.

350 pound Jerrell Powe picked off a pass, wow. Greg Hardy has been a monster thusfar, the entire defense has just been ridiculous.

Mike Wallace has really been showing his playmaking ability the last two weeks. Had 5 catches for 100 yards and 2 TDs against LSU last week and its almost halftime against State and he has 2 catches for 89 yards and 2 TDs, he just had a 72 yarder.
This game is a 31-0 slaughter and its almost halftime. We're outgaining State 324-42 and we seem to be clicking on all cylinders, come on Cotton Bowl.

Pitt has a case to make on that strip-touchdown that was called back; whistle should have blown the play dead before the strip but the first audible whistle on the replay is after. Oh well, White reverses field completely and gives WVU their first lead of the game! Defense comes back and stops Pitt on a three and out!

Greg Hardy has been dominant, he's giving pressure every play and he just sacked Lee. 3 SACKS FOR HARDY ALREADY! Thats what happens when Hardy is healthy, Ole Miss up 38-0 with 7 minutes left in the third.
Total yards-
Ole Miss: 363
MSU: 41

I hope to God that we keep up our record win streak against Kentucky tomorrow. I can't believe we're favorites. I also hope the Lane Kiffin announcement doesn't distract the team.

Second straight year a weak Eastern team beat Central.
Schmitt has 156 pass attempts in his last two games. 156.
Not at all surprised to see the points pile up in that game.

Henery will kick in the NFL one day. I watched him last year at Wake hitting 60 yarders with regularity in warm-ups. This was as a freshman. Dude is scrawny, but has incredible leg strength.
Needless to say, I was not surprised he had the leg to make it. I'm just shocked as he** that thing curved in when it looked like it was wide right.
Played like garbage but pulled it out. Love it.
