Nfl Combine
So the first of the measureables are in and guess what players didn't measure up!!
Crabtree measured almost 2" shorter then his listed height and Matt Stafford and Mark Sanchez 1" shorter then listed...
wonder who else is not going to measure up over the next week!!

Crabtree is reporting to have a stress fracture and causing him not to be able to run the 40 and now has to have surgery!!??
Looks like DHB might move up to the TOP 10 with a good showing this week...

I doubt that. His lack of production will scare teams off, and I don't see him going any earlier than 18 to CHI. I do believe he will be gone by our pick though. Oh, and a crappy QB isn't a good excuse for his lack of #'s. Who was Fitz's QB? Who was Calvin Johnson's QB? Enough said.

Tyler Palko and Reggie Ball who both got drafted, and who both were much better than Chris Turner. And both those guys actually threw to Fitzy and CJ.

Ball was drafted as a WR, and is/was on the Lions IR this season. Still, neither are good. Still no excuse for less production.

A guy who REALLY impressed me was Jared Cook. If we can get him in Rd. 2, that would be awesome, but it seems as if he's kinda starting to have a meteoric Dustin Keller-esque rise.

Um, neither Palko nor Ball were drafted...
But I agree that they were both better than Turner and at least had some (albeit extremely marginal) draftability to them.

Watched some of the Combine coverage today and was quite disappointed in Michael Oher... all the talk of how wonderful he was and he was stiff and not very agile.
Phil Loadholt on the other hand was impressive and seemed nimble for his size as did Herman Johnson from LSU as a man that is 6'8" 360+lbs he certainly didn't look it and was good in drills.
Max Unger looked amazing and he should increase his draft stock this week.

Oher was never the most agile of guys, but if you look at the way he plays, it's obviously not that big of a deal. He'll need a lot of attention at the next level, though. that's no surprise.
Unger definitely looked good today.

Britt put up a great showing on bench. So did Brooks Foster. I wouldnt mind spending a mid round pick on him hoping he can develop he is still a bit of a project. But then again we always end up spending project picks on WR and no one worked out at all.

I wouldn't mind Kenny Britt if he's availible. He's pretty strong. I'd also like Nicks.
However, anyone scared if we draft Alphonso Smith or D.J. Moore? Both measured shorter than expected at 5'8. I don't question there talent but at that height I could very easily see them getting overpowered by NFL recievers. I think CB is a bigger need, but at our pick, we should opt for WR instead.

BOTH at 5'8? That just dropped them a ton on my board, and I think WR/TE would be MUCH better picks in the first at this point. Maybe even RT/C.

Center definetly man. Jason Brown thinks he Alan Faneca so we might not even re-sign him. If Britt, Heyward-Bey and Nicks are all gone, I say we pass on Alphonso and Moore and take Unger, or even Mack. I can't believe Jason Brown.

He's definitely gonna be gone by the time B-more is on the clock. He secured that positioning today.

True, but honestly. I'd rather have Hakeem Nicks or Kenny Britt.

WOW the CB's have been extremely unimpressive and Jenkins stunk up the joint.. not sure why the pundits out there want to keep tabbing him as the TOP rated CB in 2009?
Any other surprising performances ??
