Anyone know anything about electronics?

I'm trying to rebuild a stereo but add some customizations to it. Basically what I did was tear apart an old stereo and remove the CD player and tape player which I didn't want. I built a new box that is much smaller that I will place the speakers in. So it will sort of be like a big boombox type deal. Now I was going to put plexiglass on some sides of the wood, and solder in LEDs. But this circuit board type things are a bit over my head.

Does anyone know a site that explains where exactly I need to solder these LED's in to make them work correctly? Or can someone explain how it works?
