Academics were never Maurice's problem.....he's actually a pretty bright kid when he isn't taking absolutely horrible advice about how to become the Lebron James of football.

Yeah, I think I remember someone telling me that Clarett had around a 3.5 GPA and high school. If I remember correctly, he had a very good SAT score, too.

In a completely uninteresting bit I just learned from Wikipedia:

Recently appointed Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor blocked Maurice Clarett's entrance into the 2004 NFL Draft after being kicked out of OSU. (Mike Williams - the WR, was in a similar situation). Because he hired and agent, he couldn't go back to college football after being denied admission.
