watson isnt underrated. he still drops the ball and was a turnover machine. hes got a lot of work but he demands double coverage and is very fast and strong

if he can become consistent with his hands he would be a good pick

QB - Bulger
RB - Fred Taylor/Thomas Jones/Travis Henry
FB - Jeremi Johnson
TE - Dallas Clark
WR - Donald Driver
WR - Javon Walker
WR - Lee Evans

SS - Kerry Rhodes
FS - Madieu Williams

CB - Trufant
OLB - DJ Williams
MLB - Witherspoon
OLB - Bart Scott
DE - Ty Warren
DT - Vince Wilfork
DE - Will Smith

Andrews, Harris, Pierece, Sanders are not underrated..i hear a lot about them
..people list Harris as 1 of the best DTs, Andrews as 1 ofthe best young Guards and Sanders has been mentioned top 5 safeties for awhile now

Honestly, as a Jets fan, it would make more sense to have Kerry Rhodes in there at Safety than it does to have Pennington at QB. Penny is underrated, sure, and maybe even the most underrated QB in the NFL. But NO Safety is more underrated than Kerry Rhodes.

I think he is - there was a site that made this chart with stats in less obvious categories such as hurries and QB knockdowns etc and tallied the points and he was in the top 6 or so league wide I think overall. Obviously not a end all method of comparing DE's but a sound one I think.

Although I think there are a lot of underrated DE's, particularly the bigger guys who make a huge impact on gameday but not so much on the stat sheet.

As far as the Titans go, I think Chris Hope and Michael Roos are our most underrated. Roos is a stud LT and Hope was the Titans defensive MVP last year. Bulluck I think is generally regarded fairly - not elite but very good.

I think I should have stated what I said better, but what you said is basically what I was trying to get at. I think he is overrated in the sense that everyone says he underrated. Some think he's the best OLB, I think I could have agreed with that a couple years ago, but I don't think his play the past 2 years warrants being labeled as that. I'll buy him as a fringe top 5 OLB, though. He's very good at what he does...he's a pursuit LB that can cover, but I don't think he plays the run well enough to justify being called "elite"

I agree with you completely. In the Jaguars and Titans epic battles, Bulluck was the defensive player I feared the most (well, apart from "Jaguar Killer" Samari Rolle).

You guys should ask a Falcons fan about how "underrated" Warrick Dunn is.

Here's my list. I tried to stick with younger guys as much as I could:

QB: Marc Bulger
RB: Fred Taylor
RB: Thomas Jones
WR: Donald Driver
WR: TJ Whosyourmama Houshmanzedah
TE: Jason Witten
OT: Khalif Barnes/Michael Roos/Jason Peters (too hard to pick just two)
OG: Justin Smiley/Mike Goff
C: ??

DE: Will Smith/Trevor Pryce
DT: Hollis Thomas/Darnell Dockett
OLB: Angelo Crowell
MLB: Kirk Morrison
OLB: Thomas Davis
CB: Nnamdi Asomugah
CB: Charles Tillman
FS: Kerry Rhodes
SS: Chris Hope

That's a real nice list. Thanks for giving credit to Charles Tillman. He's working himself up into the upper ranks of cornerbacks.

I like Chad Pennington and Donald Driver. While everyone doubted Pennington last year, I thought he would perform well and take the Jets to the Playoffs. And Donald Driver had over 1,200 yards receiving.

OG - Chris Snee

Tiki 's success can be attributed in large part to Snee's performance. He's still young, can maul, and pull very well for his size.

I wouldn't consider Dunn underrated anymore, he was last year, and at the start of this season.. but he really just slowed down and is looking like he doesn't have it anymore. I guess we'll find out by the end of this year. The player from Atlanta I would consider underrated is Michael Boley.

Center could be Dan Koppen also, and I also agree with whoever said it earlier, but Michael Boley could be a good option at OLB
