I didnt realize SCAR/Navy was on ESPN 2. Good news. I thought it was going to be another crappy quality ESPN 3 game. ESPN 3 looks so bad on my cpu.

It looks really good on Xbox. Much better, even. Even with a stressed connection it seems to output in HD.
Good match up on Thursday. LSU should run away with it eventually, but I can see Mississippi State hanging for a bit.
West Virginia at Maryland should be fun too. I can see the Terps winning that game. West Virginia is a lot tougher match up than a depleted Miami team, but it's still possible. I felt like Maryland played a lot better than the score indicated a few weeks ago.

That is a good lineup. Really good Thursday game and a pretty good Friday game.
Toledo may be able to hang with BSU for a couple of quarters. Maybe.

Boise matches up with Toledo better than Ohio State did b/c they don't have an awful QB. Eric Page and Adonis Thomas are legit playmakers though.

Agree. That's why I only give it a quarter or two. BSU is a legit top 3 team with a fantastic QB.

I'm going to say Miss State upsets LSU.
WVU-Maryland is going to be a good one. Pretty excited for it.

yep, miss st. is my upset pick. gotta be angry coming off of a loss to auburn, who had an embarrassingly close game with utah st. the week before. definitely got caught looking ahead to lsu, so they have no excuse to not be ready. wouldn't surprise me if they catch lsu looking ahead to wvu.
also very excited to see uf's defense in it's first test against a real qb. i think the line will generate enough pressure to force bray into check downs all game long, with the exception of a big play or two. ultimately, ut's run defense just isn't good enough to stop rainey. i think he could go for 200 on saturday if demps is limited

Really looking forward to the Thursday game. First time in the history of this series that both teams are ranked in the top 25 heading into the game.

Mississippi St canceled classes today due to the game. Gotta love the strong academic focus of the SEC.

Some Friday classes at WVU will probably be cancelled next week. For a Saturday game.

when i was at S.Carolina, plenty of teachers cancelled classes when they had thursday night home games...but the school itself never officially cancelled classes on gameday.

Guess I'm in the minority but that sounds ridiculous. As if the college workload isn't minimal enough for most students.

Yup. I could understand canceling like Friday afternoon/evening classes, or some professors canceling their classes. But for an entire university to shut down for a day because of an athletic event...
At least they have said they are tacking on an extra day somewhere. But it just makes it pretty obvious (if it wasn't already) what the main purpose of the school is, and it sure isn't to educate.

Hey, it's hard work being one of the least educated and poorest states in the nation.

Louisiana is right behind Mississippi in those categories too.

OU cancels class on Fridays before OU/Texas.
I'm excited for the game tonight. It needs to start already.

True but canceling class for students has little to no impact for the school financially. It's not like the school is making money from students being around all day in anticipation for the game. If anything, it's alumns and other fans bringing money in when they were going to be there whether there was class in session or not.

Yeah, brain fart. Sorry. These things happen sometimes.
LSU's offense looks extremely vanilla in the early goings of the year. Not surprising, but I can't see them getting past Alabama right now.
