Mock Draft 5.0 (12/31) Happy New Year?!
Only pick I struggled with was the Chargers pick. I gave them Barkley because I needed to fit him in here somehow...
Another note: I might do another mock draft with trades. Too many teams need to switch spots lol
1. Kansas City- Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
2. Jacksonville- Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
3. Oakland- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia-
4. Philadelphia- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama-
5. Detroit- Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
6. Cleveland- Manti Te’o, ILB, Notre Dame
7. Arizona- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
8. Buffalo- Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
9. New York Jets-DeMontre Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
10. Tennessee-Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
11. San Diego- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
12. Miami- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
13. Tampa Bay- Matt Elam, S, Florida
14. Carolina-Jonathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
15. New Orleans-Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
16. St. Louis- Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
17. Pittsburgh- Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
18. Dallas- John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
19. New York Giants- Ziggy Ansah, DE, BYU
20. Chicago- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
21. Cincinnati- Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
22. St. Louis- Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
23. Minnesota- Keenan Allen, WR, California
24. Baltimore- Kenny Vacarro, S, Texas
25. Indianapolis- Barrett Jones, OT/OG, Alabama
26. Seattle- Tyler Eiffert, TE, Notre Dame
27. Green Bay- Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia
28. Houston- Johnathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
29. San Francisco- Eric Reid, S, LSU
30. New England- Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
31. Atlanta- Corey Lemonier, DE, Auburn
32. Denver- Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama

I'd bet everything I own that Damontre Moore gets taken before Dion Jordan. Everything. If Jets took Jordan over Moore I'd be calling for the new GMs head with more fervor than I did for Tannenbaum. Jordan is a high risk high athleticism and size prospect while Moore has proven he can dominate as a 3-4 OLB or 4-3 de, with little to no bust risk.

Well the Panthers could definitely use him over Richardson. Richardson is a fine player, but we need more of a NT than a UT.

I'd take Jesse Williams over Hankins every day.

Don't think the Bucs take a safety that high right after taking one last year with a top ten pick. Maybe we could still get Banks or Rhodes in the second since you don't have either going in the first.

Not a Happy New Year for Chiefs fans, considering we draft a guy with no place to play on our line.

I'm assuming in this case the Chiefs don't re-sign Branden Albert who's contract is expiring.

Rather have Reid if he drops that far over Montgomery.

Why wouldn't they? They aren't in cap trouble, he certainly hasn't played at any level that would get him run out of town, and that would just be adding another unnecessary and avoidable hole to their roster.

Why didn't the Chiefs re-sign Carr? Same cap situation and Carr was a much more valuable asset. I wouldn't call them re-signing Albert a sure thing, especially considering they drafted a potential LT replacement in Stephenson last year.

If they were to let go of Albert because of Stephenson, would why they then bring in Joeckel...
No, you can't completely guarantee that they would sign him, but given the circumstances, to assume that they wouldn't just seems forced.

Vaccaro would only be a decent pick if Reed isn't with the team next season and even then I wouldn't be too enthused about his fit with Pollard.

No to a guard at Miami with the 1st pick. We need playmakers, speed. Sam Montgomery or Keenan Allen at worst with the 1st pick.

Like it for Philly, but if Geno Smith is there, we will probably take him.
