My guess is that coaches & front office are afraid of taking a chance on DRC, though I would love to have him, because of the David Pittman experience. Both were Division 2 players, so the FO might think that it will take DRC the same time as David Pittman to develop and that he might be useless his first two years like Pittman was.

You can be assured that the Ravens will bring Matt Ryan in for a visit at some point. They'd be stupid not to.

I think it's a good thing that we're not showing interest in DRC. He's a huge question mark at the NFL level. He was never dominant in college and opposing teams didn't shy away from attacking his side of the field. Now I would take him if he happened to fall to round 2(not going to happen). Eighth overall is way too high for him though.

Good thought, but not going to be doing anything in the way of bringing Ryan in now this close to draft.. unless its to stir the pot and create a media storm and try and get someone to leap from over them to get him so that some one like Gholston drops down or McFadden or something crazy like that... hey just remember Terrell Suggs was supposed to be a lock Top 5 Pick that year and he dropped like a rock... and we made out on that deal big time !!

Well the Ravens finished a private workout with Matt Ryan on Wednesday. So yeah, we did end up bringing him for a visit.

Still don't think we are going to draft him. I still think Mel Kiper is got it dead on we are going to go Defense with this pick and pick QB in the 2nd or 3rd rd where we get better value for our money...

Mel Kiper has stood by his stance that the Ravens will take Ryan if he is there at #8. Are you sure you're not confusing Kiper with Mcshay? Mcshay has us getting Gholston at #8 with either Brohm, Henne, or Flacco in the 2nd.

What are you talking about ?? McShay was on Sportscenter arguing last night with Kiper about it ?? Saying the Ravens should be TRADING UP to take Matt Ryan and Mel Kiper was saying stay there and pick Flacco, Henne or Brohm in rd 2 ?!?!?!? then pick up a CB or DT in the 1st..

Gholston won't be there at #8 ?! Miami potentially is going to take him #1 for crying out loud... plus he won't last past #6 with the Jets liking him so much or the Pats in front of us...
