Week 2: @ Kansas City
vs.
I hope I see the offense that I saw late during the game on Monday, and I hope the defense remembers to play defense.

Defense looked alright first drive. The flag hurt us on our first drive, atleast we still got some points though

Im happy with our defense today. The run defense has held Johnson and the Cheifs havent gotten anything going on us. This is what I expect us to be this year.

The Good:
D looked great today, it looked like a totally different unit from week 1. Ryan decided to blitz and we were all over the Chiefs QB. We also held them to 55 yds rushing on 19 carries (2.9 avg!). The offensive line did a great job, especially in the run game. McFadden + Bush looked excellent, but I think most of the credit would go to the O-line. DMC wasn't even getting touched until he was about 10 yards downfield.
The Bad:
Fumbles and other stupid mistakes. DMC had two (although the first one was kind of a fluke) and Bush had one at a crucial point in the game. We still had quite a few penalties, the most noticeable would be all the offsides penalties on the D-line. Tony Stewart, you lucked out my friend.
The Ugly:
Our passing game; EWWW. Russell couldn't hit anybody today, he just looked awful. Where was the JR we saw last week? Curry had another drop on an easily catchable pass. Way to help out your young QB buddy.

He did better, but a lot of it is probably because KCs passing game is so dreadful...but Hall wasn't burnt time after time like last week. I think they threw once, maybe twice towards Aso...so obviously Hall is going to have a lot more chances to screw up. Which he did a few times, but again...no as bad as last week.

It also helped that we had a pass rush so our DB's weren't hung out to dry every play.

Something thats not getting talking about is how Mario Henderson did in this game. In his first start I was really surprised how he did. Hopefully he can be a consistant starter at LT so we dont have to start Harris there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall Harris screwing up in week 1 so he wasn't as bad as advertised.

He surprised me, I thought he played alright. Mario was decent yesterday aswell....running a lot helps them a ton.

I re-watched most the game and I noticed Gallery playing like a beast and Mario Henderson did a great job for his first career start. The O-line completely owned the Chiefs D-line. Its nice to see Robert Gallery playing so well.
