Dont knock it till you try it. And besides, if people wanted beer flavored beer they would drink Budweiser.

This is my drinking fare for tonight. It's Shiner's take at a 99 calorie beer. It's not bad but I've had much better.

Never heard of Shiner. Is that a local beer or what?

Yeah it is. Spoetzl Brewery is pretty close to Dallas isn't it? Their Shiner Bock is pretty good.

Shiner is a brewery here in Texas. You should be able to find regular Shiner if you know of a place that has a nice selection. It's good beer if you can find it. Better than the majority of macrobrews.

It's between Houston and San Antonio in the little town of Shiner, TX.

Yeah, like I said between Houston and SA. I want to go to the brewery, I believe it's like 5-10 bucks for the tour and you get to taste all the beers and someone I know said you probably drink like 3-4 beers for free over the course of the tour.

What are you referring to? Also, you cannot get drunk of non-alcoholic beer.

If you were to start chugging O'doul's the alcohol in those is so insignificant that the amount you would have to drink to get drunk would be countered by the amount of liquid you would be consuming. It would disperse the alcoholic content.

It would be even less for you, you'd be full if you drank one or two.

A delicious specialty beer from Goose Island, Matilda. It's out of Chicago but you can find Goose Island throughout the midwest.

the cloves of it were way too heavy handed... it didn't have a balanced taste imo. at least not the one this year. the one before was a little better.

If I go to Chicago again, is the Goose Island brew pub in Wrigleyville a must for a beer lover?

I don't mind the cubbies. Especially since if I go, it will be within the next three months, before baseball season. Plus this one is wrigleyville is walking distance from my buddies apartment.
