This is a great mock draft! The only thing I would change is the Lattimore pick. The first reason would be that he just isn't that good. He was average in college and will struggle to catch on with an NFL team. The 2nd reason is the Ray Lewis factor. We all know Ray would throw a hissy fit if the Ravens released his brother.

not really. maybe by some people to some extent. IMO last year was his worst and all the years before, he was a pretty good, feared pass rusher. He just had a down year I guess..

Not at all. I think hes one of the more talented young defenders in the league. He was horribly misused last year, with ryan trying to get him to focus more on stopping the run then doing what he does best, and htat is rush the passer. He needs to be playing less DE and more 3-4 OLB, like he was in his first 2 seasons, when he became the youngest player in NFL history to reach 20 sacks. Hes only lik 24, I can see a huge season for him this year, but god I hope not or his price tag is going to skyrocket.

Suggs is a value to this defense, but lets face it without a pass rushing compliment on the line he's not at his best. His break out sack total as a rookie was with Peter Boulware, wow I do miss saying that name, opposite of him taking double teams, and his Pro Bowl year of 06 was with Trevor Pryce causing havoc opposite of him. This being again his contract year, I really hope he does more individually despite any circumstances, ie injuries, and gets a long term deal the solidifies him on this D for years to come.

Very much so, OTs can handle him with ease one on one, he needs to have help comin on his side to beat OLs on other teams.

I was just thinking who the biggest bust was in Ravens history and I figured it was this guy. Dear god he may have had the worst hands in the league, he would give Troy Williamson a run for his $ today. He had good physical tools obviously he was a top 10 pick. But I still cant believe how bad this guys hands were.

We never did very well drafting WR's in the first round thus far. Clayton looks more like a bust w/ each passing game. Way to inconsitent. Same goes for D-Will and his consistency.

well D-will was a 4th and I got hopes for him. I think Clayton will never be more then a nice #2. Then add in Patrick Johnson, He beat a olympian in a race or something, god was he fast but he couldn't catch crap.
But going back does anyone remember Jason Graham a RB during the year Jamal torn his knee?
He was a rookie and had a preety decent game then he started saying "I am unstoppable for a 2 yard game" and all this stuff and even Billick was like **** you are a rookie. He was decent but he came in overweight so we cut him. I will always remember him for being that rookie who talked a lot of trash.

Wow, Marshall Yanda is out for the season. Thats a HUGE blow to our o-line which has played pretty good and kept Flacco is pretty good shape.

I said this earlier but I'll say it again. I can't understand why we took
Mark Clayton over Roddy White or Reggie Brown
But some other interesting players we passed on are
24 Aaron Rodgers QB California Green Bay Packers
28 Luis Castillo DE Northwestern San Diego Chargers
32 Logan Mankins G Fresno State New England Patriots
Man if we took Nnamdi Asomugha over Kyle Boller but who knew.
Laveranues Coles was the only player worth it at Wideout.
Players that would have been nice picks. But we had the best LB core
13 John Abraham LB South Carolina New York Jets
16 Julian Peterson LB Michigan State San Francisco 49ers
30 Keith Bulluck LB Syracuse Tennessee Titans

That was an easy decision seeing as Chris Redman was our starter.

Nnamdi Asomugha was a projected 3rd Round Pick as was Logan Mankins and Laveranues Coles while Mark Clayton was destined for the 1st after a fine Sooner career

Roddy White was the only pick we realistically would have thought about making back then, but back then Clayton was a sure prospect aside from height, while Roddy was a project. We needed immediate help.

I think Reggie Brown was even more of a sure prospect then Clayton.

Yeah definitely not. Mark Clayton was definitely the most polished wideout who's only negatives was his size. Problem is he really hasn't gotten even an nth better since he was in college. He was pretty much maxed out as a draft prospect.
