You sure? Seems like they're taking kind of a chance on his longevity. Kind of a risk if you ask me. You could say they're wagering that his best years are still ahead of him though.

Well he's been stellar this year and they're signing him until around age 32. He's beginning the prime of his NFL career and he's been a key cog in the Carolina defense this year. I see no problem with the length. (I'm not a Panthers fan, btw, just posting this)

Well, he has gradually been good, until this year when he has been a top two player on the defense.This isn't the NBA, teams aren't really required to stick to the deal.

This is a fantastic move. Had they not signed him, we would have gone into next year with Lucas and Marshall as starters. Marshall is good, Lucas is good but declining, and neither can really stick with the leagues best like Gamble.

Yea, Gamble is only 25...the years aren't a big deal. I'd only really be worried about the money but even then I think it's an ok deal. Much better than giving the same money to Gross
