won over 80% of games over the past 5 years or whatever and fire him after a 5-7 year...
Not a good move by Auburn in my opinion.
Will Tuberville be coaching somewhere next year already? I wouldnt be shocked if some other big school snatches him up.

Very stupid move by Auburn. Doesn't make too much sense to me.

Completely idiotic move by Auburn. I wouldn't be surprised if Mississippi State offers him a job to keep him in the SEC and have him build that program up.
Word is that Auburn is going after Mike Leach. I think the better move would be to go after Turner Gill or Brian Kelly.

Didn't hear the whole conversation today but supposedly the door is closed on Jim Mora as Husky coach:( Top candidates as of now appear to be Chris Petersen and Pat Hill.

I can't believe Auburn let him go, Tuberville is a great coach. I guess they are looking at Fulmer too. If Tuberville ends up at State I'm going to be so pissed.

Auburn has the pieces in place to run an effective spread offense so Leach would be a much better fit for them than Gill and Kelly.

The SEC will have a much different look next year with Tuberville, Fulmer, and Croom gone.

Chris Peterson only wants to coach at Oregon other than Boise State and Oregon just named Chip Kelly as there replacement for Bellotti. Anyways Chris is going to sign a 10 years extension, in the near future once he gets some things straight with the AD like new facility upgrades.

Leach came in for an interview monday. I'd take him over Hill every day. i hope that he comes in from Gig Harbor on a pirate ship if we get him.

If Dan Patrick is right, I will be so estactic.

Not sure how Big-12 ball is going to work in the Pac-10. Personally i'd take Peteresen now that Mora is allegedly off the board.

Hill's teams never live up to the hype. Washington doesn't need another coach like that. He'll get you wins over USC and he'll lose to teams like Washington State. Washington is a mess at the moment though, at least Locker will be back though.

Peterson isn't leaving. Notice how they really haven't made an attempt to contact him. He wants to be here or Oregon

I have the same feeling that Tuberville will end up at Miss. St. That'd be a hell of a move for that program, just like the move by Ole Miss to hire Houston Nutt. If Tuberville went to State I think he'd have that program up and running in two-three years and would bring relevance back to the Egg Bowl.
I just don't see Mike Leech going to Auburn. I don't know, but I just don't see it. I think a nice fit would be Gus Malzahn (OC of Tulsa) or Kyle Whittingham from Utah.

Their offense is built entirely for the spread, which Tuberville doesn't run.

that was before it was announced that Chip Kelly will be the next Oregon coach. Once we get him here, I think he'll change his mind.

Oregon runs the spread nicely, and while the state of Washington doesn't have the speedy WRs that Texas produces, I'm willing to bet that Kasen Williams will do just fine when he decides to come to UW. Now, landing Jake Heaps and Mike Leach at the same time would be the best thing for UW football. Leach gets Locker for 2 more years which is Heaps senior year and year one of his LDS mission. Year two of his mission and we have Fouch for one more year. He comes back and Either Redshirts or starts immediately. Leach will tweak the system for Locker's running abililty, and drill him on passing. Locker has one of the strongest arm's I've seen, and if he had half the touch of Harrell, he'd be the best QB for the spread. Jake Heaps would tear it up and UW football returns to prominence. Look at Central Washington. Half their team is guys who transfered down from UW and other half is people UW didn't try for. The state has great talent, and if we can continue getting the talent and start recruiting the PacNW and the Inland Empire we will once again return to prominence.

Tuberville says he plans on staying around Auburn to help guide the program. To me it sounds like he's not excited about any of the open jobs right now

Yeah UW can pay more per year but Peterson can make more over the long haul at Boise with the increased job security. He knows he has the job at Boise as long as he wants it where UW could turn around and fire him in 3 years if they don't win
