I voted Tampa just because. You could make a pretty good case for any of the top 3 choices. The Cowboys didn't necessarily collapse IMO as much as they were just very mediocre for the last 3/4 of the season.

I may be biased, but i vote the Jets. Weak competition, coming off big wins, leading the division and the best in division record, and they go 1-4 to miss the playoffs. Even the 1 win in that stretch was fluke and they didn't deserve it. Terrible.

Ooh, this is a tough one. I mean, New York, Dallas and Denver got kicked out of the play offs by division rivals, but in each case its more than that.
New York Jets lost to their own former starting QB.
Dallas got beaten worse then they've ever been beaten before by hated rival Philly.
Denver got to see the number 52 on the other side of the scoreboard by their division rival.
Those are some serious fails right there.

How do the Bucs have the least votes? We lost 4 in a row, including 2 games at home to teams with losing records. We lost to the Oakland Raiders at home with the playoffs on the line....and they were on their 3rd string RB and CBs.
All the other teams at least won a game late in the season. WE DIDN'T!

But they all got at least beaten, or creamed by division rivals.

We lost to division rivals in back to back games. Both subsequently made the playoffs. Thanks anyways.

The Bucs.
Not only did they lose their last four, they lost to Oakland to miss out on the playoffs. That is what made me select them.

An historic collapse that was cause to Mike Shanahan getting fired in Denver. Might have to rethink my pick.

Yah, end of the Shanahan era ends this discussion, too.

If the Glazers were more concerned about the state of the Buccaneers instead of Manchester United, Gruden would have been fired along with Shanahan and others.
Hell, if Malcolm Glazer didn't have a stroke and was forced to give control to his sons, Gruden would have been fired a long time ago.
Hence, the Gruden era SHOULD be over.

It has to be Tampa, I was down right terrified of that team after seeing some of their games but they turned into a pathetic mess.
Shanahan should give them a call.

I voted Dallas because I don't care about any of those other teams collapsing.

Well, what happened here is that they had a 3 game division lead with 3 games to play and lost out, which no one had ever done before.

It has to be the Jets. Not to long ago they were ready to put us in the Superbowl and give Favre the MVP.

Tampa Bay. They had the best home record in the legaue and got to close out the season by hosting two AFC West teams. And yes, four straight losses in general. Epic fail, indeed.

No, no, and no. If the Yankees had lost A-Rod and the Red Sox had missed the playoffs (and Pedroia and Youk both got hurt), maybe the comparison MIGHT make SOME sense, but as it stands it does not.
And I went with Tampa because it's just amusing how bad their defense was in those final four weeks.

I said the Jets. Every1 (including myself) had them as the team to beat after they beat Tennessee and New England. Then they go and lose 4 out of the last 5.
