Ok these are up to date and at the moment. I dont count players that could become the bests in the near future like McFadden or Dorsey. And I give only one player for each position instead of assembling a team.
QB Rivers *1
RB Tomlinson
FB Justin Griffith
TE Antonio Gates
WR Brandon Marshall
C Nick Hardwick *2
LG Brian Waters
LT Marcus McNeil
RG Mike Goff
RT Jeromey Clary
DE Derrick Burgess *3
DT Jamal Williams
ILB Kirk Morrison
OLB Shawne Merriman *4
CB Champ Bailey *5
SS Gibril Wilson *6
FS John Lynch
P Shane Lechler
K Nate Keading *7
*1: kicked ass in the playoffs before beign hurt
*2: as I think Tom Nalen retired
*3: thanks to Jared Allen being gone and far away. Igor Olsansky in a 3-4.
*4: Thomas Howard for a 4-3 OLB
*5: Asomugha might give him a serious run for his money after this season now that he has Hall opposite of him.
*6: not established in the division yet, but is in the NFL and thats enough
*7: never thought to see Jason Elam in another uniform.

i can say Philip Rivers but i know he isnt that good....and cutler oh come on he has few years on russell yet hasnt proven much more then JR has and he hasnt even played yet...Cutler is the most overated QB out there they should have stuck with plummer if you ask me. So i say go with the QB with the most potential and the most upside, and as i said before there isnt much to choose from! So JRuss will be it and he will prove me right once he starts!

I like how Zach Miller is a better TE than Tony Gonzalez. Nice.

wow and i thought this thread was all about personal opinion so everyone gets bashed for not picking TG or any other player that is popular, well my reasons were hes 32 12 seasons in the league the guys isn't necessarily young and he just isnt as dominant anymore if we are talking about the full career then sure TG would of been picked no questions asked and even above Gates this is just my opinion of there impact this coming season not there whole career.

Tony Gonzalez had a dominant season as a TE last year, at 32. I'm not going to get the stats out again, but he had more receptions and receiving yards than the other TEs in the league as well as breaking records for TEs in NFL history.
Also, the thread is called "Best player at each position", not favorite player and certainly not who will have the most impact this upcoming season. Just saying.

Pure comedic gold. You could make the argument Cutler and Rivers have been the two best QBs in the whole NFL.

Couldn't you just plug in any receivers than? What about Moss and Owens together?
