what type of bands out there that are like AC/DC, not looking into the heavy metal stuff, just some rock.
Wouldn't say they're like AC/DC but they are certainly a pretty straightforward rock band aside from their latest album really. I've been pimping them everywhere but here's a few of their songs:
Off the Record:
One Big Holiday:
actually, when I think about it they are quite diverse but they probably have some stuff you'd like.

That entire album by Textures is awesome. Do yourself and check out Silhouettes esp. if you dig bands like Meshuggah.
Also, I've just recently been listening to the band Bring Me The Horizon. Pretty cool stuff.
It's about damned time to mention this band since I haven't. Check out Gojira. Their album From Mars to Sirius is just flat out excellent. I saw them in Memphis and it was one of the most brutal pits I've ever been a part of. Here's two videos from FMTS:
Gojira - The Heaviest Matter of the Universe
Gojira - To Sirius
And here's one from their latest album
Gojira - Vacuity
And here's one last band to check out. It's like Mastodon and Isis got together and had a baby and then Meshuggah and Neurosis got together and had a baby and those two babies got together and had sex. Complete awesomeness... Just get the ******* album.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been

i was dissecting the finer points of nu metal. i haven't played anything in a while but i wandered into a shop, and then thought to myself. wait a second. you tweak this rhythm a little bit and you turn an disturbed song into a tool song. cool!

For someone of her playing ability a Epiphone is fine, Gibson's are crap unless they are $2000+, all you are doing is paying for the name

gibsons are crap if they've been made in the past 30 years and aren't completely re-done. gimme a gretsch of the same price over a gibson. i mean the les paul has one of the sick fattest tones of all time, but thrown in some EMG active pickups and you have a sex machine.
that being said. who the hell is that?

That is my 16 year old Pedo love child
I've never been a fan of EMGs, they are great if you play metal only, but they don't have enough warmth for classic rock
