My first 2 rounds would be:
Round 1) Clay Matthews (right mix of intensity, work ethic, and upside)
(alternate: Larry English)
Round 2) Ron Brace (big guy we need to let our LBs run free)
(alternate: Patrick Chung)
Hard for me to predict who's available after first 2 rounds.

Both Clay Matthews and Michael Johnson would be horrible choices.

I love Clay Matthews as a player and prospect but I think is he more of a 3-4 fit.

Our defensive line would be more athletic than any in the league if we took those two guys in the 1st and 2nd. I would love that. I don't know about Follet, I love Allen and Gardner. Nic Harris could be a good/horrible pick.

Follet is the epitome of a TD pick. Team Captain, college grad, hard worker, versatile in that he can play OLB in a 3-4 or a 4-3, and smart. Most of all, he has a Kerney-esque motor that just never ends. and he brings in in rivalry games. I saw him play all out in regular games. but against Stanford, he looked like a man possessed.
Harris is more for depth, worst case, he's a backup at both OLB spots and a good ST guy for a few years. best case, he's the next Boley at SLB for us (5th round steal is what I mean).

yes. only difference is that Follett will cost a 4th. JL will cost a 1st. oh and JL can't play in a 3-4. he is limited to 4-3 at MLB. aka not a need.

he's not quick enough and instinctual enough in coverage to be a good one.

i think he could learn to be great in coverage. He's a very smart player an if he has the right coaching he could learn easily

He's pretty good in coverage... but I agree that his speed does leave some doubt as to how well he would play OLB. However, I wouldn't be upset to take him at #24...
