floyd played three games less and didnt run deep routes that much, golden tate did, but i you saw the difference in our offense with floyd and without than you could really appreciate how well he played. I'm pretty sure AJ didnt miss a game so when. So when you take that into account floyd has more receptions per game, a higher average in td's per game and but he would indeed have 2 receiving yards less per game on average.
Floyd Green
4.8 rec/game vs 4.3
71.9 yrds/game vs 74.1
0.7 td/game vs 0.61

Georgia also had this thing called a running game. ND threw the ball more.

georgia also had this thing called defense, they had the ball more on offense. plus a balanced attack actually was advantageous for the kind of receiver aj is.
edit: i checked it for you, Jimmy threw the ball 10% more

hypothetically... even IF Floyd had better stats than Green... that DOESN'T mean he's a better prospect.

Nope i just think he is a better prospect even outside the numbers but i guess we will find out. But I didnt bring up the numbers.
I just like the floyd sort of receiver more, the kind that just somehow seems to get everything even close.

Not nearly enough love for Green in this thread. I feel bad for whoever has the make the decision between which one of Green and Jones to take (assuming they come out the same year). I love Dez and Benn but they aren't in the same league as Jones/Green. I do think all end up as first rounders though.

I really, really like all four of those guys, Jones, Green, Bryant and Benn, but for some reason my favorite of all of them is Benn. I just think this guy is an absolute beast that will be a star at the next level. Jones and Green have the eye popping size/speed combo which is why everyone (and rightly so maybe) ranks them highest but Benn has that something about him that will make him one of the best.

Julio Jones is a physical freak. He's like a mix of Calvin Johnson and Michael Crabtree. He'll be one of the most dominant underneath receivers in the NFL and a competent deep threat. The others are great but Jones is a clear #1 for me.
His HS film never wowed me but he looked way ahead of the curve as a Fr at Alabama.

The answer is Dez Bryant in my opinion.
