Okay, so recap:
- Mike Wallace was drafted, instantly talked with Keenan Lewis and told him to keep his head up and to not worry because he was bound to be drafted soon.
- Ten minutes later, Tomlin called Keenan Lewis and he said that it was "a dream come true."
- Mike Wallace was not told that the Steelers wanted to take Keenan Lewis with the next pick.
- Keenan Lewis jokingly said that he thought he'd go first in the draft (out of the two), but still called Mike to congratulate him once he was drafted.
- Keenan said that the first thing he did was cry out of joy for going to the league's best defense, defending champion, and to be able to play with his best friend.
- Right after their picks, Keenan Lewis went to Mike Wallace's house to celebrate together.
- The neighborhood celebrations were wild.
- Mike Wallace threw a party, having a barbecue, with around 40 people.
- They believe that the Steelers were unaware of their close friendship, but that they had talked with their former coach.
- Mike Wallace says that one of the biggest adjustments in the NFL is to live alone, but he says that the fact that he'd be living with his best friend, a lot of the hardships that living alone brings have been eliminated. And that after the New Orleans events that happened to him, this is also a dream scenario.
- Keenan thought that they'd both play in the NFL, but never had he considered the possibility of playing for the same team.
- Mike also believed that both would be drafted, but "never in a million years, out of over 200 players, did I think that I'd get to play with my best friend."
- Mike is extremely eager to come in and help improve the team and win a consecutive Superbowl.
- Keenan was asked that if he played against Mike who would win, and he jokingly hinted that he'd win.
- Mike then flat out said, laughing, that the competition is an 80-20 event, with Mike winning 80% of the time.
- Both guys thanked ESPN2, appreciated the invite, and said goodbye.
They seem Steeler-type-of-guys to me.

Nah, I just opened up Notepad and quickly typed what I heard. I do type fast, but not "stenographer-fast."

I just wanted to stop in to tell you Steelers fans that I think Demiko Goodman was a solid free agent signing for the Steelers. He never played well on a consistent basis at UGA, but he flashed from time to time and really looked the part of a stud WR. He was also supposedly a good student and never got into trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if he blossums as a pro and makes a roster.

Here's my opinion.
I would like them to sign Lelie to a 1-2 year contract.
Ward - Holmes - Lelie
Sweed - Wallace - UDFA
Lelie can provide an excellent deep threat while Sweed and Wallace continue to develop.
If Lelie can recapture any of his 2005 magic, this could be the deadliest WR corps in the league.

Lelie isn't going to bring back anything, he sucks as a WR. He had one good season in 04.

He was good in Denver. When he played for crap teams in Oakland and San Fran, he didn't do well due to the quarterback situation. I think he will be fine if we don't press him to start.

sounds like we signed this guy Shaun McDonald? Lelie must of wanted too much $$$! Damn! Hopefully the source is unreliable and we sign Lelie! Why would we want another 5'10" receiver? what would've been the point in drafting Wallace?

Wallace is 6'1" with 4.28 speed (hence why we drafted him). McDonald would be there just as a veteran 3rd/4th reciever to help Sweed and Wallce progress. He wouldnt be a long term answer.

Because receivers are notoriously slow at developing. Look at Sweed this year, even Calvin Johnson wasn't great his first year. Arians loves 3 WR sets so he needs 3 reliable WR. If we didn't sign McDonald and Limas started sucking we'd be in trouble.

Yes, but Wallace is very raw at route running. I think he'll end up being the number 5. McDonald will be the 3rd or 4th. I have McDonald as the fourth, but will be in a lot on third and short.
