Tyrone McKenzie done for the season...
Rookie LB Tyrone McKenzie tore his ACL at the Patriots' first offseason minicamp. He'll be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
:(

Hopefully not a bad sign for the year to come. One weekend one injury? Jezzus.

That really bites. Appleby has a lot better chance of making the team. So does Redd. Let's hope Guyton is ready for some major playing time this year.

This is a shame. Hopefully he'll be able to learn the defense while he is out and be ready to play next year. I said before the draft that ILB was a bigger need than OLB and now with the loss of McKenzie that leaves only three ILB's on the roster (I don't count Alexander, he's a special teams only guy in my mind and shouldn't ever play LB unless it's at the end of a blowout).
I wonder if this means they'll be calling Seau again. I love the guy but we really need to turn the page and get younger guys in. This does seem to give Appleby a good opportunity. It will be interesting to see what he can do with it.

My thoughts exactly. It's not so much who they picked in this draft as who they DIDN'T pick.

Pisa actually wouldn't be bad. Terrible 3-4 fit, but if he was cheap and we think he can play inside for us I wouldn't mind signing him and telling Teddy to take a seat.
