Volek is a good backup who even played good in playoff games. Troy Smith has yet to start a game, so yea i can see that

Wow, VY way too low. I've always thought that the perfect backup is a mobile QB, typically completely different from the starter, so the different style of play will make the defense adjust. Plus they can make something happen, turn a game around with their ability, it should be Garcia, Vick, Seneca, VY, T Smith.

What exactly has Troy Smith done so far? Volek and Simms have at least been decent starters at some point in their careers, and Henne was the far better prospect and has been developing in a perfect situation for a young QB.

Is he honestly saying that he would rather have Matt Flynn, Jim Sorgi, and Ryan Fitzpatrick than Vince Young and Matt Leinart?

how is Mark Brunell that low on the list? I'm not saying he's good but he's a former starter, been to the playoffs, etc... Guys got credentials.

Better question is how is this even a list. Who the hell spends time on something like this? Somone with too much time on their hands, that's who.

I didn't even know Mark Brunell was still playing or I guess the correct term would be watching.

I dont think you saw him play at all last year, throwing to practice squad receivers, with 5 backups blocking for him and the amazing combo of Morris/Jones/Duckett running the football.

How is Vick the second best backup? He barely knows the playbook. And if they're going by talent then how is Leinart so low?

I can only imagine cap figures factored into the rankings.
Really though, just another case of Internet journalism gone bad. Like a listener is a listener with shock jocks on the air waves, a hit is a hit on the Internet whether the reader thinks the content is ******** or not, and typically controversial/questionable stuff is going to attract more traffic, because people like to read stuff and think (or in this case, know) they can do better. Good writing simply isn't rewarded on the web.
