They want Adams, but I don't think they take him at 2.
Detroit now has 4 fifth round picks (their own, plus Denver, Miami, and St. Louis).

Not a #2, but they could be looking to trade down.

Gives them plenty of ammo to trade up in a later round if they want to.

Works for me. The Rams had an extra fifth round pick after trading Hargrove to Buffalo during the season, and they desperately need some help at defensive end opposite of Leonard Little.

Millen will want to move back into round one if he sees someone he likes. He did it a couple years back when he moved up to #30 for KJ.

They couldnt get anything a LITTLE better than a damn 5th round pick? James Hall isnt a bum or anything I would have thought maybe a 3rd or a 4th round pick would do. 5th is a little too high especially with no players being added with the trade.

Hes like most Lions members. Plays when he wants, is often injured, and has a negative attitude. But when he plays, hes pretty good.

I like the move. Gives us a good combo of Adeyanju on Run Downs and Hall on passing downs.

The trade where Millen baited the Browns into trading him their second rounder to move up 1 spot for Kellen Winslow, then taking Roy (the guy they wanted anyway) was brilliant. It would have been more brilliant if KJones could stay healthy.

Hall is a decent NFL player. He obviously didn't fit in Detroit (or didn't want to). The Lions got decent value. There are a good number of prospects who will slide in this draft. The Lions need to fill holes. If they can hit on 2 of their 5th rounders, it would be awesome for them.

Which 5th is it? St.Louis's 5th or the 5th they got from Buffalo for Hargrove? They're pretty close together so it doesn't matter I guess.

ugh. Lions lost in this trade. Hall wasn't great, but he was worth more than a lousy 5th rounder.

No they didn't lose. Hall would have been cut at 4 pm. A 5th rounder back for him is fine.

My understanding is that it's the Rams' original fifth rounder rather than Buffalo's.

Thanks. Plus the Lions saved over 1 million in cap space by cutting Hall. DeWayne White from Tampa is visiting Detroit today. He may be signed if Marinelli thinks he can an everydown players. He is a little undersized but isn't a liability against the run and should be able to get to the Quarterback.
Pollard,Marcus Bell and Tyoka Jackson were also all released saving some cap room.

The Rams also brought in LB Tully Banta-Cain and WR Drew Bennett for interviews.

I think they would be more inclined to want Adams as he is a better fit in the Cover 2 than Anderson.
