Juqua will probably be back.
The FO is hinting that the Eagles will bring back Juqua Thomas. It seems that he doesn't have as much value as we thought, because he is not getting offers for starting jobs. If he would come back, would you still want a DE early? I say yes, because there are still alot of questions around DE and all of them are approaching 30 or have already passed it.

Awesome. Hope this happens. He is a good player, and he fits well with what we try to do...

Sweet. I love him. He's very underrated around the league, and IMO he'll make an impact next year. I hope he can get some more playing time even though it'd be hard playing behind the reliable Howard

I'm very comfortable with the Eagles going into next season with Kearse, Howard, Cole, and Thomas as their top 4 DE's. A first day DE to develop behind Kearse and Howard would also be helpful.

Hopefully soon, we might try to deal him off for a late round pick but I'm not setting my hopes on it. It may be time to just cut our losses. Someone else will give him a shot. Either way I expect he will be gone at the latest right after the draft.
I really hope we can keep Juqua and if we got another young DE in this draft, man we would be getting fantastic pressure all day.

I do think we should cut McDougal, and we still would draft a DE. I don't think it would be real early though, unless someone we really like falls into our lap.

The Eagles could have the guy they need for help at DE already on the roster. Chris Gocong was a stud DE in college and was great against the run and the pass. If he would bulk up again, he could play DE for the Eagles. Of course, this is all contingent upon the team getting a SAM LB prospect in the draft or a stop-gap in free agency.

Gocong was a DE who although very productive, got most of his sacks by just running around slow OTs, I don't think he will go back to DE, except in certain situations. The Eagles drafted him to be our SAM, and I think thats where they intend to use him.

Just because they drafted him to be something doesn't mean he doesn't have a skill set that could be deployed in a certain way. In person evaluation and time can change things. Thomas Davis was drafted to be a safety, but he's a LB now. Michael Robinson was drafted as a WR in San Fran, but he's now a RB. Marcus Colston was supposed to be a TE, but he became a Pro Bowl WR. I'm sure there are some things that I'm missing as well. It was an idea, not necessarily gospel...

Finally glad to get that over with. I wish we could find out how much for, considering, our limited cap room.

I heard 5 years 12 million, but I'm not positive.

You were close, it's 5 years, 12.5 mil. or 2.5 mil per year if it is a baleanced contract. But who knows, it may be either back or front loaded, so he may take around 1.5-4 mil in cap space for this year. Does anyone know the parameters of Mikell's contract?
