Plummer gets traded to us(For real this time).
So now we have Simms, Garcia, and Plummer.
I think I speak for all bucs fans when I say "WTF?".

Rattay is a FA, but we still have McCown on the roster.
The Bucs traded a conditional 2008 draft pick for Plummer, so who knows what that means.
A trade has to be in the works involving a QB, this is all too crazy!

What I'm hearing is Plummer to Houston for David Carr. Which just makes things weirder.

As per ESPNNEWS, Plummer has handed in his retirement papers. If he retires, he costs us nothing. If he wants to play, we own his rights, and can trade him.
Simms and Garcia (as reported) both have 2-year deals with low base salaries and performance incentives. Both QBs cant start, so we are actually paying starting money for 2 QB's.
I think that it is a great move by Allen and Gruden.

I think this is a great short term move, it's a conditional draft pick, (see the word conditional?) that means if jake decides to retire, then there is no pick.
Also, with us getting the RIGHTS to plummer, that keeps Oakland in the hunt for a QB in the draft, and it gives us a chance to TRADE Jake's rights to a team that he DOES want to play for (Houston?), assuming that he doesn't want to compete for his position here.
Ok, we'll probably be back to square one in a year or two, but a lot can happen in that time?

I think you heard voices after you smoked crack. Why would we trade a player we just acquired? He's gonna retire and there's no chance we get Carr in return for him anyway. I'm guessing Skip Bayless was the guy on the radio.
