Mankins wants a new deal
If we could get him and maybe draft a C our line would look much better.

So what does that end little bit mean, about he won't have room to leave if no new CBA is reached?
Side note, just watched the Humanitarian Bowl, Idaho and Bowling Green. Just a great football game. Lot of fun to watch, and Iupati looks real good.

He is great, one of the only bright spots on that defense. He took the move very well, got in shape and worked very hard and it shows. With one game to go he has 7.5 sacks and caused 4 fumbles.
On a team without many defensive playmakers, he has shown he can get it done and excel there. Now we just need someone opposite him to free him up, and some inside linebacker help so he has the opportunity to rush more.

Pretty much the only thing I would add is the non stop motor he has shown that I didn't realize he had.
He still has things he needs to work on like pass coverage but for his first year at the position he has by far exceed me expectations.

he's been a beast at OLB....he like videa says has 7.5 sacks and that's not counting the times he could have had a sack but was hogtied to the ground to prevent it

Old news, imo. Still worth getting excited about, though. Takes a ton of pressure off of Haley and Pioli.

I think the Chiefs have a better shot at getting Romeo Crennel then they do of getting Charlie Weis but I would love to have both.

I think we have a better shot then you think at Weiss.Buff is appearantly taking him out of the running for the HC and with the uncertainty job status of Lovie Smith Chicago might be a tough spot....not saying he will wind up here but I do think it's a better shot then you're saying

That would be pretty kickass if we got both of them. Oh, and if both of them kept their jobs going into the first game. :D

I just think Romeo Crennel wasn't cut out to be a head coach he has done well with pretty much everything else he has done.

Crennel is a great DC for the 3-4, which is what we're running. I think we'd see a night and day difference with him coaching our guys.
As for Weis, he is great at developing QBs. He would do wonders for Cassel.

There's a reason McDaniels didn't want Cutler, and I don't think Weis's opinion will differ much...

Your list isn't bad, though I don't think Cassel was our biggest disappointment. I'd go with our linebacker/safety play in general for biggest disappointment.

I would have to go with Bowe as by biggest disappointment and that hurts to say since I like him so much but he didn't fix the drops and he missed four games.
