Default Possible Trade?

Buc's fan here... Assuming Suh - McCoy go 1 -2 we will be sitting pretty good at 3, unless utter failure at the combine Clausen is going to be in high demand. Do you see Seahawks trying to trade up to get Clausen? Both your 1st round picks for the #3 pick.... What do you think?

The Seahawks would be stupid to do that in my opinion. We have way too many positions that need to be upgraded, so we can't afford to do that. Now, personally I think Carrol loves Clausen, but theres a guy up here in Seattle that he wanted even more in Jake Locker. So if Clausen is there when they pick, sure I can see the Seahawks taking him, but I don't see the Seahawks trading up for Clausen.

Also if the Seahawks were going to trade up from 6 to 3, I highly doubt they'd give up both 1st rounders. Until the rookie salaries are fixed, teams are still going to be tentative to move up into the top 5 except for that player that is pretty much guaranteed, like a Suh. It'd be stupid from a financial perspective to move up to that position when, and I don't have the figures right in front of me, but it's a huge drop in pay from 3-6.

Yea we are kind of in the same boat... It's funny you brought up Jake Locker, some Rams fans that I've talked to basically think that they will take Suh and draft Locker next year. Or at the least draft a QB in the 2nd, I guess that would be a more coservative take with all the QBs available this year.. I think it will depend on how well Clausen looks at the combine for teams to want to jump up to take him...
