If we draft Tebow, he'll play a Michael Vick (PHI) role in the first year. (occasional QB when Brady needs to take a crap)

they're almost identical physically.
clausen has great mechanics and is the best at directing a pro-style offense.
he has very good accuracy on his deep balls and can make every pass.
brady came into the league at about 200lbs.
to be honest with you brady never looked as good as drew henson did at michigan. clausen even sets up and delivers faster than brady did at this point in his career.
don't forget that Charlie weiss was his OC just like he was for Brady.

Damaryius Thomas is nothing like Darrius Heyward-Bey. Jahvid Best isnt as tough a runner as Ahmad Bradshaw. Carlton Mitchell is probably 5 inches taller than Devery Henderson.
And Tom Brady is impossble to compare to since most qbs look just like he did coming out.

do you see thomas and carlon mitchell as better route-runners than heyward-bey and henderson?
bradshaw was the closest player that i could think of at the time that goes about 5'9 198. a better comparison would probably be Leon washington.

Well it looks like this will be the best draft class ever by far...
There's quite a few that I don't agree with but I think the one that made me scratch my head the most was Demaryius Thomas --- DHB. Other then them both being good run blockers it makes no sense. DHB is probably 3 tenths faster, two inches shorter, was much more deadly and elusive in space, and isn't as physical. He didn't seem to have the hands of stone in college that he does now, but I've always been impressed with Thomas' hands and his ability to take the ball out of the air.

the most impressive thing about clausen is that he plays alot like brady and i think that he might be better at directing a pass-heavy offense like brady and drew brees as opposed to a run-balanced attack like Matt ryan.

i guess that i just see them both through devery henderson-tinted glasses, being a saints fan and all.
henderson has been one of the top 5 most consistent deep threats in the league the past four years but you can't really have the expectation that he will ever crack 1,000 yards because he doesn't run the 5-10 yard routes very well at all.
neglecting size, i see thomas and heyward bey having similar careers production-wise. they both do not run routes well enough to be 2nd or 3rd receivers and will both likely find their niche' as Rotational home-run hitters.
i've also seen henderson go up for the ball alot too like the TD he had in the championship game. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-hq-vid...000d5d815f07f1
or this amazing catch against the eagles
http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-orlean...vs-Eagles-2009
i've just never seen any of those guys exhibit any ability to play X, Y, or Z with any regularity of a starter.

Devery Henderson is also a lot faster than Thomas. Colston would be the better Saints receiver to compare him to physically as neither guy has great top end speed, both are somewhat tall, and they both use their size to go up and make catches while shielding the DB away from the ball.
I also think it's completely unfair to say that Thomas isn't a good route runner or isn't capable of running the full route tree because all Paul Johnson ever has him do is run go routes. Sure, not running any other routes hasn't helped him but he at least has to be given the chance to run them before we say that he doesn't run routes well.

there is always alot of analysis comparing height, speed, and leaping ability but i will never forget what the packers' GM said when the saints drafted donte' stallworth and they got Javon walker later in the round. he said that the saints neglected to take into account the body-type of the WR.
he said that Stallworth was too tight in the hips to cut sudden enough to be a superstar wideout. some time within the next two years Javon walker was catching for 1200+ yards and stallworth still doesn't have a single 1000 yard season in his career. henderson has the same stiffness that prevents him from turning and contorting for a grab quick enough within the first 5-10 yards.
Body type is just as important for receivers as it is for corners. Corners who aren't very "loose" in the hips are normally pigeonholed into zone schemes on defense.
his body-type just seems too stiff to me just like heyward-bay last year. Before the raiders took him in the first i had him pegged as a 3rd rounder as a deep-threat specialist.

Eh, I've seen worse, but Gerhart runs really hard and will drag a pile of guys on his back and still remain upright, his balance is incredible, where as George just seemed like a more violent and explosive runner that would decapitate guys that try to bring him down.
George's running style looks like Adrian Peterson's to me, Gerhart isn't really an intimidating "bring the pain" kind of guy to me, but he'll make impact and just drag you and drag you and stumble and still somehow stay up.

If you're talking about Eddie George with Dallas, I'll agree. Eddie George coming out of Ohio State? No way.

eddie george had a pretty mean stiff-arm and was tougher inside and not as elusive. eddie was also a pretty good receiver.
how is Gerhart in pass protection?
another comparison for Demaryous thomas could be DWayne Jarret if he times slow at the combine.
