Wow, I don't understand why most of you are not picking the vikings to be in the playoffs. We were 10-6 with Gus Freotte as our starter, and went 12-4 with Favre as our starter. There's not much difference. The Vikings can get to the playoffs without Favre.

Anyways...My prediction:

NFC
North: Vikings
South: Saints
East: Cowboys
West: 49ers
Wildcard1: Packers
Wildcard2: Panthers

1. Cowboys
2. Saints
3. 49ers
4. Vikings
5. Packers
6. Panthers

AFC
North: Ravens
South: Texans
East: Dolphins
West: Chargers
Wildcard1: Steelers
Wildcard2: Cheifs

1. Ravens
2. Chargers
3. Dolphins
4. Texans
5. Steelers
6. Cheifs

Cowboys over Texans in their home stadium.

And just so you all know - Troy Smith came in for Schaub in the second half and lost the game. So if the Texans acquire Smith for whatever reason, somebody please, please get Schaub a bulletproof vest.

They can...but there's also a decent chance they can't. The 2008 Vikes kind of backed into the playoffs and were lucky that their only challenger in the division was an Orton led Bears team. I realize Favre isn't the only difference between those two teams, but I can see them having some identity problems offensively now that they're back to having nothing at QB. I can also see Favre coming back and playing like a 40-something year old. An injury here and there...it's certainly possible.

Not that I claim to know one way another, just playing devil's advocate.

Love the Packer love. We are a LT and a decent body or 2 in the secondary from reaching up into elite territory. That tackle might be tough to find, but at least franchise quarterback = perennial playoff contender.

How did you guys get Aaron Rodgers so LATE in the first round. I mean, seriously, guys like Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell got drafted higher than Rodgers. It's unfair.

I don't understand why you have the Chiefs as a better team than the Jets......

Jets now have a Sophomore Head Coach and QB, who should be much if not better than he was last year.

I'd rather Rex Grossman over Troy Smith.

Sexy Rexy could get a revenge on another blue team that starts with C.

All I can say is that I'm gonna be driving the Dolphins bandwagon next year. I think they're in for big, big, big things.

Kind of agree, interested in seeing how the Pats will re-group if they can. Henne has come along way and if I was the phins I would see what I could get for Pennington as far as draft picks.
