that isn't entirely true. branch's value was likely higher during the regular season because seattle thought he would help them to the super bowl. that was worth the first round pick. now, the season's over (and we've gone through free agency), so the incentive to try to fill that one last hole is much lower in terms of that kind of a trade. the draft pick would hold higher value now if seattle thought it could more effectively use it. the only reason they wouldn't make the same deal is because they didn't win the super bowl, they now know WR wasn't the only hole.
