It's not impossible but I can't see it. Dealing Cliff Lee was to rebuild the farm system and with the exception of possibly Juan Carlos Ramirez, the acquired prospects have struggled (Aumont) or been injured (Gillies).
If they trade Dom Brown, allegedly the only thing holding the Phils back from dealing for Halladay last July, it'd be kind of borderline nuts. They've dealt pretty much their top-10 prospects for Lee and Halladay and a couple decent ones the year before for Blanton (Outman, Cardenas).
Now, I am in love with Jonathan Singleton who's hitting around .400 at last check in low-A and his trade value exceeds his potential I'd assume. Jared Cosart and Brody Colvin have been on fire lately but I can't see either of them with half of season of SAL League ball having the appeal to get Lee.
Just unsure if Amaro would do that.

The stupidity of some Reds fans never ceases to amaze.
Jump down Gomes' throat for losing a ball in the light. Then apparently we are the only team it ever happens to and it only happens 1 time a year.....Christ some people are dumb.

Jonny Gomes may be the worst fielder I've ever seen get consistent time in the outfielder, and as someone who watched Ben Grieve, that's saying something.

That will be enough to put him into a slump for a couple of weeks.

How was it proven? If anything I believe Manuel has mentioned in the past that Reyes gets homer happy sometimes. And he gets nervous when Jose hits a couple.

It was proven by his stats after hitting Hr's are almost identical as they were before a HR streak. Jerry has said so many dumb things in his tenure with the Mets that you can't take him seriously. I don't care what Jerry thinks.

That said, I don't want Lee. I'd rather just wait and take a run at him as a free agent.

Ryan Strieby?
Im playing summer ball with his younger brother right now. His younger brother just got drafted by the Cubs last week, but hes staying in school.
Talented family lol

Cause he's right about this one. You can see Reyes gets pull happy. It was more at Shea. But he didn't really play much last year.

It really doesn't have to do with hitting a couple HRs. Every slump for Reyes is the same thing. (Lots of lazy fly balls and pop ups from being out in front of the off speed stuff.)

Good thing we gave him that 2 year deal. Worst player in baseball. He is very efficient in throwing his equipment after he K's looking.

Surprised this **** load, ****, of a lineup scored a run. Jake Peavy putting together a complete game shutout makes it a win.

Mauer hits a two run homer with two outs off Lidge to tie it up 9-9 in the 9th.

Brad Lidge!!! Welcome back, never has throwing tailing sliders in the strike zone, putting on runners and blowing saves looked so effortless. You, sir, are a natural at blowing games in an efficient manner. But....thanks for the World Series ring still.....

Red Sox are 24-10 (.706) in their last 34 games. They can tie for the Wild Card lead with a Tampa Bay loss tonight.

So.. Charlie Manuel walks Morneau with Mauer on 1st to put 2 guys on with 1 out... Rauch lays down a sac bunt to make it 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs, and Manuel does not walk the hottest hitter on the team Delmon Young, who gets a base hit.
Nice job.
