"The Baltimore Orioles added depth to their struggling offense Tuesday by obtaining utility player Jake Fox from the Oakland Athletics for minor league pitcher Ross Wolf and cash.
Fox hit .214 with two home runs and 12 RBIs in 39 games for the A's this season.
Although the right-handed hitting Fox had poor numbers at the plate with Oakland, he gives Samuel another option in his effort to generate some punch on a team that ranks last in the AL in runs scored.'

Don't worry he is also bad at whatever spot in the field you put him.

Rickie Weeks has a great looking home run swing. So quick, and it jumps right off the bat. Much different than most of the power home run swings, but it just looks good.

I thought Weeks was going to be really good.

Nice game from the Mets. The top 4 batters in our lineup all had 3 hits or more.

It was a nice game but Jerry should be fired for sending Niese out after that long rain delay and crazy inning. Although Jerry should be fired for many things. This is just one of the more atrocious decisions.

I was wondering what the hell Niese was doing out there.

Did he pitch a simulated inning during the delay? Some teams have their starters go throw 12-15 pitches every so often during delay.

You would know better than I by seeing more games, but I thought he was a very solid manager.

I think it will be interesting to see what happens in regards to Hanley Ramirez now that Gonzalez is gone. Fredi seemed to be willing to take stands against Hanley and now with a new manager will Hanley play hard everyday or not? Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a team caving to a star player's wishes and getting rid of a coach who was hard on them.

Basically just looks like because they're 2 games under .500 and Loria wants to win. Ugh this is annoying, Fredi was a great game day manager and never put up with Hanley's ****. Change for change's sake is annoying as hell.

Fredi Gonzalez is definitely someone I wouldn't mind coming back to Atlanta once Cox retires. He was being groomed as the replacement before he took the Marlins job.

seriously I don't understand this move. wtf did he do wrong other than be around .500? If you're not satisfied with that, fire him at the end of the year.

As a baseball fan, seems like a ****** move. I don't know what the front office expects, but Fredi was doing well.
As a fantasy owner of Hanley, this potentially makes me very happy if they bring in a push over for a manager to appease Hanley. Come onnnn push over!

Marlins always have to fire their coaches after a set period of time, so Fredi's time was up.

Ah, is this in correlation to their set period of time before they squeak into the playoffs when no one expected them to, win the World Series, then ship off all their young talent because they can't afford them? I think that year might be coming up...1997, 2003, 2010?
