Well Dusty continues his trend of packing it in instead of gunning for a series win.
Today's line up was pathetic.
Volquez was shaky, but I expect him to have some rough outings.

@AmyKNelson MLB just announced it will test minor league players for HGH, effective immediately. They will be blood tested. That is big.
@AmyKNelson Don't know details, but I would guess that would exclude 40-man players, since they are part of union.
@AmyKNelson The minor leaguers have no union, as was the case in 2001, they could do nothing when Selig instituted drug testing then...
@AmyKNelson no he is part of the union. RT @mnmcglynn @AmyKNelson Finally & great news. If a MLB player is on a rehab assignment could he get tested??
@AmyKNelson Don't know how many minor leaguers use it, b/c it's pretty $. But the precedent has been set to blood test, that is why this is so big.
@AmyKNelson u read my mind, just tweeted that. RT @str8edgeracer @AmyKNelson isn't hgh ridiculously expensive? Minor leaguers make 1200-2500 a month

Cliff Lee's 8, 8, 9, 7, 9, 9, 9, 8, 9, 9 laugh at those numbers. Anyways, as good as Josh Johnson has been this season, he's only 7th or so in innings pitched in the NL. He's still probably been the best pitcher in the NL, but I'd still take Roy Halladay because of the fact that he's thrown so many more innings.

Omar Minaya said Thursday at Dodger Stadium that "there's no discussion at all" of changing managers.
Asked if he could categorically state that Jerry Manuel’s job is safe, Minaya replied: “Yes. Jerry Manuel is our manager. Look, any time you’re going to have a couple of losing [series], those things are going to pop up. But there’s no discussion at all. Jerry Manuel is our manager, will be our manager. I’m very happy with the job that he’s doing.”

Because there is no other explanation for him to not be in the lineup. There is no word of any injury.

It's just an off day. Only Prince Fielder plays every game. If he's out of the lineup then something's probably up. Not the case with Hart though. He hasn't been traded...yet.

Apparently the Mets found a taker for Jeff Francouer. He can be traded as early as tomorrow unless something falls apart. I can't actually believe another team is going to give him another chance though.

I don't know why he's playing if the rumor is true. Even before the game he said he "loved" playing for the Mets.

He just loves any team stupid enough to play him everyday for as long as the Mets did.
