It's not NBC's fault for the matchup, as CBS put it there for no reason.

Well, they had a reason.. they wanted two comedy blocks that dominated the night, and they might get it.

Morbo demands an answer to the following question: If you saw a delicious candy in the hands of a small child, would you seize and consume it?

7. The League
Breaking Bad and Friday Night Lights will probably join the list once I start watching it. I don't think there are 10 shows that I watch. I spend most of my time catching up on old shows that I didn't catch when they were on the air.

Guess I better give more than just the pilot of Mad Men another shot haha. Pilot was so boring I just never continued it.

I love them. I used to have them but my brother took them all when he moved out. Now I just see it late at night (just before Rocko, awesome) and I still love it.
It's about time Always Sunny started showing up on these lists.

The Gates, Haven, & the Glades
IDK about the Gates, it's slick, lots of hotties in the cast, got that clandestine vampire/werewolf secretive thing going for the storylines, cop hero too, but watching 3 episodes now makes me think it's a daytime soap opera dressed up like a supernatural scifi show. It's similar to Wolf Lake & Invasion, the storyline can't carry it past the 1st month. I think it's DOA.
Haven has some real potential. The New England coastal town setting, the mysterious FBI agent sent on a Hidden Agenda mission (as in X-Files), the quirky town itself (like in Eureka but not as sappy), better scripts than you would think for a low budget Scifi Channel show. It has chick appeal b/c of the female protagonist & her love story with her town sheriff sidekick, we've seen that before in everything from Remington Steele to Moonlighting but these 2 have obvious chemistry. If they can maintain the overall atmosphere of dread & the actors grow into their roles I think it's a keeper.
The Glades is way too formulaic & predictable: the wisecracking rogue cop transplanted out of his hometown b/c he got in trouble, the short-fused Hispanic sidekick, the Florida setting, GF with the convict husband, remind anyone of Dexter? Or of Burn Notice? They even had a hurricane episode with the last one & every show set in Miami has had one, including CSI Miami. The Glades will be nada more than a summer replacement unless it finds a big audience soon.

The Gates was never meant to be more than a summer burn off show. There is no way in hell something like that would survive in the fall.

Season 1 has some roughish patches to start, but it gets very good as the season goes along. Season 2 is decentish, and as long as you stay with it after that, seasons 3 and 4 are amazingness.

I thought Season 1 was great, but Season 2 really tailed off and I've never gotten around to watching the rest of season 2 and on.

You need to get to them, especially since season 4 has WALLACE as one of the main characters.
