Laveranues Coles expected to sign with the Jets
Im on my phone so I cant post a link but I saw it on the nj star ledgers site.
Its going to be interesting to see if Sanchez can distribute the ball and keep his receivers happy. Quite a unit tho... Braylon, Santonio, Cotchery, Coles, Brad Smith, and Dustin Keller

Coles looked washed up last year but he would make a very good #4 WR. Sanchez has plenty of weapons.....no excuses this year.

Coles could not get open for the life of him a year ago, he fell way short of expectations. As a #5 receiver with a small contract and no responsibility I guess he'd be fine; however, he proved himself incapable of getting open, running after the catch, or actually catching the ball.

Coles will look a lot less washed up going up against teams 4th/5th corners. Just like LT will be better behind a great offensive line
hopefully...

Yea, because I don't see how there is room for him. Using him as a 4th or 5th WR stunts the growth of Brad Smith, who is a much better athlete then Coles anyway. He gave the Bengals nothing, not even close.

Couldn't get open... Couldn't catch the ball... In the event he actually caught it he fumbled in the biggest game of the year. Ugh, just venting at this point. He sure does love going back to NY though.

Barring complications, Coles is expected to sign with his former team. The Jets report to training camp Sunday in Cortland, N.Y.
With Santonio Holmes out the first four games due to a league suspension for violating the substance-abuse policy, the Jets are looking for insurance at wide receiver.
Coles would join Jerricho Cotchery, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith as the top four receivers for the first four games.

I forgot Santonio was going to miss 4 games.

I like this move better anyway over them looking at TO, a personality like his is ok and we have already seen him in the green.

He's a pre season all star. Hasn't really shown much when it counts.
